if you havn't read the book a saucerful of secrets, you guys should. it talks alot about syds demise. he had two solo albums after his split with
The Floyd, and gilmour and waters helped produce them. later on in life he changed his name to roger barrett and lived with his mother for a bit. he
refused to talk about music and declined all interviews with the press. i belive he still painted though. the Wish You Were Here album was
definantly a tribute to syd, and away for the band to say thanks for pushing them in that direction. on a lighter side though, when The Floyd
returned from their first U.S. tour, they all had ghonorea. ( i think that is how you spell it) Syd and The Floyd is a influence i draw from when
making my music. as a kid, Pink Floyd was the sound track of my home. My dear ol'dad used to put me to sleep to Dark Side Of The Moon when i was an
infant. In my opinion there should be a Pink Floyd class in the public school system... That would be awesome.
