according to this new scientist report :

recieving bone marrow can cause cancer patients to show a DNA profile that is not really thiers

conspiracy rambling : could healthy criminals aquire such tissue transplants deliberatly - so that forensic traces they leave at crime scense would not match the profile in thier criminal record ?

"a clear DNA match is made between semen from a serious sexual assault and a blood sample from a known criminal. ..(but) the criminal in question was in jail when the assault took place. ...It was only after careful detective work that the mystery was solved: the jailed man had received bone marrow from the suspect many years earlier."
