Has anyone ever stepped back and thought about the reasons that the Jews most holy site is also claimed by the Muslims as one of their most holy sites? The whole story reeks with cover-up and corruption on someone's part. I think that history easily shows that the Jews were there first. Mohammad being born hundreds of years after Christ was born should be proof enough that the Jews were there first. I guess logic doesn't prevail in this realm.

Is this a plot to keep the Middle-East in turmoil? Why would this plot exist? Oil wasn't a factor when this crazy dispute began so there has to be some other excuse for this argument to exist. Why would you claim another religion's most holy site as one of your most holy sites, unless there is something of a cover-up involved.

I'm out of time for now, but enjoy this video of the world's most valuable, and fought over piece of land. In this video you will see the rock itself. You know that religion is involved in this dispute because there's nothing special about the rock just by looking at it.

Hey DBates:

You did know, didn't you, that the Emperor Hadrian in 138AD expelled all the Judaeans from Palestine after the 2nd failed Jewish Revolt against Rome (AD 136-138) under Bar Kosiva-Kochkba?

Ashkenazi (and some Safardi) Jews did not begin (slowly) to settle back in Palestine until around 1850 AD when the Ottomans allowed the sale of land (at triple the price) to non Muslims in the area, financed by persons within the London branches of the Rothschild family etal. beginning in the late 1870s

Also, the so-called 2nd Temple Mount area was sacred to the Jebusites (BC 1100) before "David" invaded with his clan chiefs and later David seems to have married into the Jebusite royal family for primarily political reasons (by getting Bath-Shebiti ("daughter of the 7 [gods]") pregnant, before doing away with her non Jewish Hittite Husband Uriah).

Apparently the Hittites and the Jebusites had already intermarried in Jebus (the ancient name for Jerusalem, along with others e.g. Salem, etc.).

But when Muhammed lived, the only Jews in the area were pilgrims who came a few times to the wailing wall remnants (the western retaining wall of the complex which supported among other things, the Fortess of Antonia built by the Romans) during feasts like Pesach or Sukkoth etc.

So Jews were more or less absent as any measureable group in Palestine from c. AD 139 to c. AD 1860, a period of about 1720 years.

Clear as mud?

Yep, that's about right. Not really wanting to pick sides in this exact discussion. Just more interested in how everyone loves this little rock so much. Ever read Mark Twain's The Innocents Abroad ? I thought his observation of Palestine at the time was very interesting. It was desolate and empty. You could walk for a day and not meet anyone at all. Why wasn't this land settled at this time (1869)? It didn't seem to be that valuable until the Jews started coming back to live there again after WW I.

Muslims actaully patrol the walls of Old Jeruselam becasue they are defending it as part of thier belive in what is going ot be the final days. Muslims LOVE defending thier property becasue it allows them a justification to kill infidels. Similar things happened during the crusades in that muslims could invade a land, but then it was wrong for someone else to invade that land and take it away from them.

A nice double standerd is the norm for Main-stream Muslims

The Al Aqsa Mosque sits on the site of the Roman Temple of Jupiter, not the site of the Temple of Israel.

www.biblediscoveries.com...

The Knights of St. John have the real site in their control.

Before Al Aqsa was built the local Jews were asked 'where is the site of the Israelites temple'.

Do you really think they were going to tell the Muslims where the real site was?
