It's getting harder and harder to understand what the Democrats are up to. On the surface, nothing they are doing, or saying, makes much political sense. David Brooks, writing in The Weekly Standard, offers his explanation.

ACROSS THE COUNTRY Republicans and conservatives are asking each other the same basic question: Has the other side gone crazy? Have the Democrats totally flipped their lids? Because every day some Democrat seems to make a manic or totally over-the-top statement about George Bush, the Republican Party, and the state of the nation today.

''This republic is at its greatest danger in its history because of this administration,'' says Democratic senator Robert Byrd.

''I think this is deliberate, intentional destruction of the United States of America,'' says liberal commentator Bill Moyers.

George Bush's economic policy is the ''most radical and dangerous economic theory to hit our shores since socialism,'' says Senator John Edwards.

''The Most Dangerous President Ever'' is the title of an essay in the American Prospect by Harold Meyerson, in which it is argued that the president Bush most closely resembles is Jefferson Davis.

Tom Daschle condemns the ''dictatorial approach'' of this administration. John Kerry says Bush ''deliberately misled'' America into the Iraq war. Asked what Democrats can do about the Republicans, Janet Reno recalls her visit to the Dachau concentration camp, and points out that the Holocaust happened because many Germans just stood by. ''And don't you just stand by,'' she exhorts her Democratic audience.

The reality of the two party systems, is that it permeates every level of our government (from the political branches all the way down to judicial rule over the masses; prosecutors and defense attorneys. Inherently this system, its basis, is formed on this type of arbitration.

I personally feel the article clearly presents issues based in reality and would ask for the thoughts of all concerned?

Have the Democrats gone crazy? Yes, I think so.

Toltec: Though many will write that article off as GOP propoganda since it's origin is the Weekly Standard I thought it has some very good points; Americans agreed with those points in the '02 elections.

Perhaps crazy needs to be more refined, bi-polar perhaps? Meaning, Daschle, Edwards and Kerry voted for the war in Iraq and the Patriot Act YET blame Bush form legislation they supported. I just don't get it. Or Edwards comment on socialism. At least now we have a demsy on record saying socialism dangerous!

Reno comparing the Bush administration to Nazism just tells me that they Democratic party is smoking something and they should follow their previous leader's example, don't inhale!

BUT, part of me is glad that the DNC is self-destructing, if any one reads the rest of that article, note the voter registration numbers which proves they are in trouble.

This behavior seems really weird in respect to how liberals are reacting. Its like they have become religious zealots and sounds very much like they have run out of intelligent things to say and are resorting to insults.

Yes a conservative thinker prepares the article but the point its making with respect to the moderate voter is very real.

The behavior in general is suspicious and indicative of spoiled brats.

Amen Bob88........

Reno has no right to compare anyone in the Bush admin to Nazi's. She took her/his
notes right from the Nazi stormtrooper tactics chapter.
Also the dems keep saying Iraq, but have no idea how to make it better. From what little I saw, they all wanted the U.S. stay in Iraq. If that is the case, then we are in a world of hurt. The dems have no clue on how to use the military. Judging by our last presidents use of the military.
We have all seen the shape CA is in. My guess is the U.S will be in the same shape if them dems win the whitehouse.

It's just like I've been saying all along...It doesn't matter which party wins the majority--The American Citizen looses.

I urge all real Patriots to vote "No Confidence" on this election...

The dems and liberals in general in the first world are in big trouble and they know it.

Why?

Because they ran their prospective countries for most of the past 40 years and they have nothing to show for it. Tons upon tons of money has been spent and all governments are in debt. Yet so much more money is needed just to do day to day stuff. Social security is bankrupt around the world too. Just wait when most people figure it out!

But the real problem is not that liberals led the agenda for the past 4 or so decades and the disaster of socialism around the world but demographics!

Demographics determine that being a liberal does not make a good future.

Older people tend to be conservative and all liberals see the day coming when most people that vote won't be buying their BS!

that is why the attacks are getting more desparate, as a way to still get attention and to try and garner support particularily amongst young and immigrant voters.

by the way, expect liberals all over the western world to ratchet up immigration as a way to save their asses.

I for one am not standing by to let them do it.

GO ARNIE GO!
