The point is that the " Sun" is heating both planets up That is why we are seeing climate changes on two planets at once.

I think the rise in temperature is minimal and also very seasonal.NASA are just high-lighting the seasonal changes we can observe on mars and proving the point that Mars is not a static wasteland but a moving changing world with its own cycles and systems like earth.Sure may be getting warmer but in increments, you wont be sunbathing Isidis Sea anytime soon
