Nope, all synthesized.

I do play guitar and bass, but it's easier to compose in software than to mic and coordinate real guitars, and all that introduces noise and other nastiness into the mixes.

So it's all synths. I'm upgrading my synths, though, so it's getting better. This song uses my new guitar samples, which I really like. I could use a better harmonica synth, tho.

I belted this song out yesterday morning while my sucky ISP was offline. I tend to be rather cynical of songs like this, but I haven't been able to say what I feel too well otherwise, so a song it had to be.

Needless to say, it's a rather emotional topic, and I had a hard time singing it because my throat was so tight. The sniffing and sobbing at the end wasn't faked, to put it mildly.

Anyway, glad you like it, although again, I have a lot of mixed feelings about the song and its subject.

How the hell can I sing so nonchalantly about such horror?

It's tough all around. At least I didn't have to witness this firsthand.

That would be a damn sight worse than singing about it.

I hear you. My sister, brother and myself sang Amazing Grace at our mother's funeral. It's tough to keep it together when emotions are involved.

Wow. I keep playing this song over and over again.

There's many ways to express emotions that involve such horror..and your song does hit the heart. Thanks for sharing.
