I hope no one posted about this but I'm just curious to know;

What is a Scholar, Fighter, and Writer mean under the user name?

How do you get that title Scholar, Fighter, and Writer?

Also what does each one allow you to do?

Is it nessisary to be one?

Sorry, this ones been bothering me since I joined ATS.

Mayhap's we can cut through some red tape and searching by your letting us know , in your own words ATS's definition of a Scholar, Writer etc..

Thanks,
Dallas

Well, it's not hard to find on that page I linked.

The Writer-Fighter-Scholar usertitles are for members who participate in 'special' forums

The title 'Writer' is for those who participate in the Collaborative Fiction/ Short Stories forum.

The title 'Fighter' is reservated for participants of the Debate Forum, and it's regular Debate Tournaments.

Last, but not least, the Scholar title is for Researchers in the Research Forum.

Easy.

As for the Councilors...they are member elect representatives and they (the first group newly voted in) are still defining what they do.

MemCenter is a button located on the upper right of the page.

The first two items are
Custom Title, first line
Custom Title, second line

You use your points to add these definers. I think there is a limit on number of characters, and you must abide by Terms, but that's where it is.

Good luck.

You know. Unless this has been covered, but I haven't seen it yet. What is a Subject Matter Expert and how does someone become one?

FSME are members who have expert knowledge in a given forum.
I think they used to be appointed by the staff. I'm not clear how, it was before my time as a Mod. So maybe someone who's been around longer can help out here.

Currently, they are recommended by the Council.

I'm still defining why we voted on our MP.

How long do they get to stay in that position, only fair to have other members become them after a time.
