Nothing really special, but last night was ...

I live in about the middle of Missouri, out in the boonies. The Summer here, this year, is being very mellow. Last night I was out on the back deck looking at the stars and the woods. The humidity was very low last night, the sky was very clear. As I watched, and it grew darker and darker, the lightning bugs began to be seen in their swarming. The whole woods around my house were lit up like a fairlyand with all the blinking lights. For you city dwellers, it looked like billions of little white twinkling Christmas lights all through the trees. Interestingly, they continued on up into the sky where the stars took over in their own natural beauty.

Nothing special, I guess, but it put me right with the world and at ease with the universe. Funny the things that can work that way, and just wanted to share.
