Randy Rhoades [ yes THAT Randy Rhoades ] was a founding member of Quiet Riot.

In 1979, he decided to leave the band because he was frustrated they couldn't get a recording contract in America.

That same year, Ozzy Osbourne was fired from Black Sabbath and was looking to put together his own band.

And the rest is history

Yeah I knew he was in QR before Ozzy.

You gotta wonder where he would be now if he didn’t get killed in the plane crash?

I doubt he would have stayed with Ozzy all this time.
And Ozzy has never been as big as he was with Randy, IMO.

I was never a huge Ozzy fan after Randy died, I always thought The Ultimate Sin was the last good Ozzy album.

Randy and Rudy Sarzo were both in Quiet Riot, both played with Ozzy together on tour. We used to play a couple of songs from the Randy Rhoads days of QR. You can definitely hear Randy licks. He recorded a couple of albums with QR but they were only released in Japan.
