Agree. My sense of things is that "they" aren't all ONE thing:

1. They may be inter, or intra-dimesional
2. They may have well evolved well ahead of us and inhabit the depths of the oceans or the deep of the Earth
3. They may travel to us via wormholes or other space-time perturbations
4. They may be from our future, come to help us evolve into a better state (or at least a better state for them)
5. They could be from Venus; consider the classic huge black eyes, and small/slight stature
6. They could be intergalactic, sort of tourists, or scientists
7. They could be bioandroids, sent here and everywhere else as recording devices to test and report

Myself, I am voting for 1, 2, 3 and 5. Who knows?

The point, which you outline clearly and I agree with is that they are HERE. They have always been here, throughout human recorded history. That much, at least, is clear to me. They are recorded throughout all of human history.
