So here goes another SpaceX launch

Apogee is expected to be about 360 miles "above" earth....thats about 100 beyond the orbit of the ISS.

Is it real or all faked?
How is something "above" a sphere from the perspective from the sphere?
No im not a flat earther, this will be far enough out to get a look at our "pale blue dot"

here is the live feed, im off to bed so enjoy!

The perspective from a fixed point on a rotating sphere shifts. The sphere itself only very gradually shifts. So the while the object is moving away from the sphere it will go higher in altitude. Therefore, the object becomes above the sphere.

Take a ball. Place an object on the ball. Dont move the ball. Lift the object up off of the ball. You now have an object above a sphere.

a reply to: Phatal

is it though?

What if the perspective is opposite the orbiting object, then it would be below

Or if at a 90 degree angle it would to be beside the sphere?

It is only above the perspective if you are directly below the orbiting object
