I really wish you would go back and reread history on that front before you keep telling people things that are not accurate.
MLK was opposed to both parties but worked closely with democrats on civil rights. He was also a self proclaimed socialist.
His father was a republican but changed party affiliation during the Kennedy days.

So he worked closely with the party of the KKK and Jim Crow? Hmmm.
