I believe this was meant for OP, the quoted remark where it says "we are not a slave to the flesh" is OP and I responded to that.

On a side note in Matthew 7, I have a disagreement with saying the way is "hard"... The Bible says Jesus yoke is easy, his burden is light, saying hard in some translations was not the authors original intent. If we look at the KJV, it says the way is "narrow" leading to life indicating that there is only "ONE" way, not that it's hard or difficult...
