Nightmare Air Pollution in Delhi India

India suspended most construction and demolition activities in and around Delhi on Friday after its air quality deteriorated and was forecast to worsen because of calmer winds and other atmospheric conditions, a government body said.

The national capital region's air gets filthy every winter as low temperatures and wind speeds trap emissions from vehicles, burning of farm wastes, and industries. Many of Delhi's 20 million residents complain of serious breathing problems between November and January.

India has a bad habit, they burn dung every morning every day, this is killing their environment, is no healthy and is becoming a big pollution problem.

But you cannot change the ways of countries believes.

A serious analogy for you. You go to the toilet, wipe your Ass with your hand then walk out and eat your sandwich. Why didn't you wash your hands. Answer:- because you've been taught to use toilet paper and to wash your hands for hygiene. What's that got to do with India? The powers in India actually keep the vast majority of their population in ignorance and poverty. It's their problem, only they can cure it. No one can force them to do it.

As for bad air pollution ???? I can see at least half a mile. I can remember in the 1950s to the earlier 1970s we had "smogs" in the UK and you literally could not see the hand in front of your face, that was pollution.

Can you imagine the population of Texas in Oklahoma city?

Delhi has approximately 38 million people in roughly 540 square miles which is about the size of Oklahoma City. 70K population density. If even half of them are driving......welllllll it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. They need to eat more bugs and switch to EVs by 2023 and all will be rainbows.

By Comparison, NYC has approximately 8 million people in 300 square miles. Their population density is 29K per square mile.

There's too darn many people for that small of an area. They also have little pollution control. Their answer to smog is to use anti smog guns which mist water over large areas on the back of vehicles and tall water sprinklers everywhere.

I went to Bangalore India a few years back for work. I had nose bleed for the first three days. Was happy to go home! Nice folks and great food though!

India pollution really is that bad. That is why we have to pay carbon taxes and buy crappy electric cars here in the US. It makes as much sense as two neighboring states having different gas mixes because of emissions, as if the smog knows where the border is...
