Very nice airplane. Last flight on one was from LAX to Amsterdam (on my way to Paris) in 2014. So comfy.

I remember the first time I saw one. I was body surfing at Point Panic and one took off from HNL. It was so big that the size/distance thing made it look like it was flying way too slow to be airborne. Something that big had to be closer than it actually was and as a result, flying slower than it actually was.

There's usually a pretty steep price cut when the order is placed. United bought some 737s a few years back, and got them for something insane like 90% off list, to undercut the CSeries. Between the numbers being ordered (United is expected to announce at least a 100 plane 787 order next week), and "incentives" given to the airlines.
