"The World Health Organization warned Tuesday that reported invasive fungal infections increased significantly among hospitalized patients during the COVID-19 pandemic."

"United Nations health agency said emerging evidence indicates that the incidence and geographic range of fungal diseases are expanding around the world due to the increases in TRAVEL as well as climate change."
?Stop all travel??

"Emerging from the shadows of the bacterial antimicrobial resistance pandemic, fungal infections are growing, and are ever more resistant to treatments, becoming a public health concern worldwide," Dr. Hanan Balkhy,

"The list categorizes the pathogens into three categories, including critical, high and medium priority."

Frequent Boosters Spur Warning on Immune Response

European Union regulators warned that frequent Covid-19 booster shots could adversely affect the immune response and may not be feasible.

Repeat booster doses every four months could eventually weaken the immune response and tire out people, according to the European Medicines Agency. Instead, countries should leave more time between booster programs and tie them to the onset of the cold season in each hemisphere, following the blueprint set out by influenza vaccination strategies, the agency said.

Boosters “can be done once, or maybe twice, but it’s not something that we can think should be repeated constantly,” Marco Cavaleri, the EMA head of biological health threats and vaccines strategy, said at a press briefing on Tuesday. “We need to think about how we can transition from the current pandemic setting to a more endemic setting.”

The study showed that immune function among vaccinated individuals 8 months after the administration of two doses of COVID-19 vaccine was lower than that among unvaccinated individuals. These findings were more pronounced in older adults and individuals with pre-existing conditions. According to the European Medicines Agency’s recommendations, frequent COVID-19 booster shots could adversely affect the immune response and may not be feasible

I shudder to think what was growing in some of those cloth masks.
People would wear them and never wash them. They would cough and sneeze and everything else.
Anyone that knows anything about bacteria in the human mouth can imagine how bad it could be.

Yikes, it looks like a microscopic world uprising. They are tired of getting gassed with bug spray, and disinfectants.

Seriously though my sister got infected with MERSA last year, and it was no fun at all for her.

Climate change.

This is how stupid they think we are.

How many cow farts equals one billionaires 5 minute trip to space?

Do other mammal farts count? like should we get rid of deer and horses or monkeys, how about dog farts should we get kill all the cats because they fart alot

How about dolphins and whales their farts cant be helping right?

Better kill them all you know for the sake of the planet and all.

If they make us pay more taxes it will fix the climate change and thus it will kill the deadly fungal infections...

Can't help but wonder if the Fungal infections are caused by people spending more time at home? We've all heard since the first push to energy efficiency just how bad things get in a home unable to "breathe". Most people before the pandemic were at work, kids in schools & after school activities so exposure was more limited at their homes.

Older homes have the added bonus of no insulation with limited air flow. It turns into a fiesta bowl of black mold and other nasties. Not everyone has enough cash to rip up old carpeting and get new flooring. Carpets being just petrie
dishes. I can see how spending more time at home could jack up illness stats quickly.

Dangerous pathogens found on children’s face masks
BY JENNIFER CABRERA 06/16/2021

A group of parents in Gainesville, FL, sent 6 face masks to a lab at the University of Florida, requesting an analysis of contaminants found on the masks after they had been worn.

The resulting report found that five masks were contaminated with bacteria, parasites, and fungi, including three with dangerous pathogenic and pneumonia-causing bacteria. Although the test is capable of detecting viruses, including SARS-CoV-2, only one virus was found on one mask (alcelaphine herpesvirus 1).

The analysis detected the following 11 dangerous pathogens on the masks:

Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumonia)
Mycobacterium tuberculosis (tuberculosis)
Neisseria meningitidis (meningitis, sepsis)
Acanthamoeba polyphaga (keratitis and granulomatous amebic encephalitis)
Acinetobacter baumanni (pneumonia, blood stream infections, meningitis, UTIs—resistant to antibiotics)
Escherichia coli (food poisoning)
Borrelia burgdorferi (causes Lyme disease)
Corynebacterium diphtheriae (diphtheria)
Legionella pneumophila (Legionnaires’ disease)
Staphylococcus pyogenes serotype M3 (severe infections—high morbidity rates)
Staphylococcus aureus (meningitis, sepsis)
