OK, at first I was skeptical, it begins with seemingly bad acting and a predictable premise.

But, it actually takes it to a point that is unexpected.

The final act of the movie, I'd say, should be considered a horror classic.

Although not a slasher movie, it is one of those horror movies that actually make you feel good about being vegetarian.

Anything like Razorback?

I ask because they don't seem to make new movies any more, just rehash old ones.

Razorback is a 1984 Australian natural horror film written by Everett De Roche, based on Peter Brennan's 1981 novel, and directed by Russell Mulcahy. The film revolves around the attacks of a gigantic wild boar terrorising the Australian outback, killing and devouring people.

I'm not going to squeal, but even halfway in this movie you don't know what's coming.

No not like Razorback.
Although eventually fans of that will be pleased.

I mean, those eyes.

But not just another "monster" movie, or "Jaws"-derivative.

But I suppose one can't make a "boar" or "hog" movie without some reference to Razorback.

Some cross reference and Easter eggs for the alert viewer.

Those eyes - those awful hog eyes!

Reminds me of Macaulay Culkin's shark eyes in Home Alone.

It reminded me of the midnight movies we used to see, I'm going to have to be half-lit to watch this there is a lot of suspending disbelief going on here. It's one of those movies I do watch sometimes LOL but I got to be in the right mood, lately my attention span has been crap

Imagine: Mouse - the musical.

You're a big fat cat, and I'm just a little "Maus".

Flip, got me shaking all over.

Before the claw comes down, remember, I was a church-mouse.

"Bedroom"- actually a strange concept to Germanic people who lived in communal long-houses.

First mentioned in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Nights Dream, although there the reference seems to be literal room in a bed.

At the supermarket - what is that thing in your bag?

It's an acorn squash.

No really, people here know the round squash, but this is quite the novelty.

The young lady behind the bread counter: "People are buying it, but everybody just buys one".

I'm explaining, there's a lot in it for R11!
But it's just regular squash inside.

Wow, this squash is a "chick-magnet", I better hurry home.

They wanted a short answer.
Don't start lecturing about the Colombian exchange and blah, blah, blah.

Queen Isabella: "So Admiral Columbus, what exactly did you bring form the New World, except birds and terrified people"?

"Er ... behold the pineapple and the acorn squash".

"Oooh - the man needs more ships"!
