I don’t know if we will be able to stop the oxidation. If this is the end, then I want to go on record on this chrono and hope that future generations – should we survive as a species – be warned. Do NOT utilize the elements beyond the stable 132.

How could we have known? Spirits and ‘haints’ aren’t supposed to be linked to chemistry!! When we created Tomjohnsonium, it only survived for 42 seconds. How could we have guessed that #147 – Karmastian – would not only survive, but open a static gateway to the dimension of the dead?

When I read the title, I got all excited. I thought you had written a story about snooker, 147 being the standard maximum break in the game. I don't know how familiar you are with snooker, but it takes an almost supernatural skill to do a 147, especially live on camera... almost as elusive as camera-shy ghosts.

To my surprise, it wasn't what I thought, however, your story is the next best thing. Compelling, terrifying and entertaining, especially the element names.
