Only a bigot could be against a law that makes more penalties if you LYNCH SOMEONE.
Not seeing a problem with this.
Unless you plan on lynching someone, this really shouldn't affect you.

You are mixing the terms of lynching and hanging.
A lynching is when a mod hangs someone without a trial.
Hanging is a form of execution used after a trial.
This is also why this new law is nothing more than virtue signaling.
Apparently a mod beating someone to death is just normal illegal but if you use a rope and hang someone illegally it’s a hate crime plus illegal…

What would be the more penalties for murder?
Since 1882 there has been 3445 Black people lynched. The last time a Black person was lynched was 1964, That was the same year a White person was too, except it was 2 White people lynched. So with all that what do you think they are trying to solve here?
a prison term of up to 30 years, or both—on an individual who conspires to commit a hate crime offense that results in death or serious bodily injury or that includes kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill.

Well folks, cancel the lynching you had planned.
Biden signed legislation making lynching a federal hate crime.
Not that murdering someone without a trial isn’t already illegal.
The quote below shows where the name of the bill comes from.
“The bill was named after Till, a 14-year-old Black teenager from Chicago who was abducted, tortured and shot in the head in 1955 after he allegedly whistled at a white woman in a Mississippi store.“
“ Tuskegee University, which tracks the history of lynchings, estimates more than 4,700 people were lynched from 1882 to 1968, the majority of them Black Americans. Lynchings were particularly common in the racially segregated South. Till was one of them. Members of Till's family stood alongside Mr. Biden on Tuesday. ”
1968… I wonder why they stopped counting over 50 years ago?
This seems to be a day late and a dollar short.
