RAF jets intercept Russian nuclear bombers over North Sea as Britain sends troops to help defend Polish borders from Putin-backed 'weaponised migrants'

RAF fighter jets have been sent to intercept two Russian nuclear bombers over the North Sea after British troops were deployed at the Polish border amid a Kremlin-backed migrant crisis.

The Typhoons were scrambled from Lossiemouth, Scotland, and Coningsby, Lincolnshire, along with a refuelling jet from Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, on Friday.

The two Russian Tu-160 'White Swan' bombers entered 'the UK area of interest,' the MoD confirmed, without giving further details.

Ukraine announces start of ‘energy war’ with Russia

In an interview with Kiev’s 1+1 channel on Friday, Deputy Energy Minister Maxim Nemchinov announced that “today, we are in reality locked in a state of war with Russia.” According to him, the neighboring nation is “blocking imports from Kazakhstan, preventing railroad cars laden with coal from traveling to Ukraine, and reducing the order of gas transit capacity.”

Kremlin: Putin is concerned about NATO maneuvers in the Black Sea

According to the press Secretary of the Russian President, Putin has repeatedly noted that NATO's military activity in the Black Sea is "a matter of concern."

Peskov said that Russia is paying "increased attention" in connection with the entry of American warships into the Black Sea. At the same time, according to Peskov, Putin has not yet contacted US President Joe Biden on this topic.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the forces of the Black Sea Fleet monitor the actions of the flagship of the US 6th Fleet USS Mount Whitney and the destroyer USS Porter which are heading to the western part of the Black Sea.

It looks like things are heating up... EU is not bending in this crisis most likely there will be more sanctions. It seems that Putin and Belarus are testing the ice will it hold.. more likely they will step back ( hopefully ) in some point. It is really heated situation and it can go easily in wrong direction like many times before in history.

Russia Deploys Paratroopers To Belarus After Blasting Increased NATO Reconnaissance In Region

"On November 12, a Russian paratrooper unit will land on an unknown site on the territory of the Grodno region in the Republic of Belarus as part of a surprise combat readiness inspection of the Airborne Force and take part in a joint tactical exercise with units of the Belarusian armed forces," Russia's defense ministry said in a statement.

Not only has Russia within the past couple days sent a pair of long-range bombers over Belarus in a show of support to the Alexander Lukashenko government, but on Friday the Kremlin ordered Russian paratroopers to deploy to Belarus as part of continued joint operations.

"Russian Il-76 military transport aircraft took off from airfields in Russia and flew to Belarus to airdrop the paratroopers," the statement added. The operation is being described as checking the readiness status of "quick reaction forces" of Russia and Belarus, both which cooperate closely.

"Polish soldiers continue to exert psychological influence on refugees, use loudspeakers, searchlights and strobe lights, and also ignore requests for assistance to people who are on Polish territory directly at the Polish barriers," the Belarus State Border Committee said.
Both sides have accused each other of spreading misinformation. Poland declared a state of emergency that has effectively barred journalists from working in the regions bordering Belarus, while Polish officials have released extensive video footage they claim shows Belarusian security forces using migrants as "propaganda material."

I was going to start a thread on this as hadn't seen any on the 'new thread' pages... too much about covid!

What I do want to say/ask about this situation though is : Why didn't these migrants stay in Turkey? Turkey isn't at war with anyone and it's a first safe Country for those Migrants! Why are they trying so hard to get to England?? And why are they using children as a way to make people feel sorry for them? Those parents... if you ask me, are very irresponsible for taking children into this void and using thm in such a way. They are putting those childrens live's at risk and it c ertain ly wouldn't surprise me if a war broke out on that border and spread to other EU Nations, especially as the BBrits have now sent troops to the border to support Poland and Russia have troops and aircraft in the area. It's all looking like it's going to go off very soon.

Propably family discount too. I saw in news 14 year old boy has freezed to death today, so sad. Migrants has a transport from airport to the polish border. Minsk is about in center of Belarus, those migrants did not walk all the way to border with their kids. It was organized by the government. IMHO quite brutal operation where lives has no value.

It is all organized and planned by belarusian and soviet special forces. BL goverment is equiping ‚migrants’ with weapons and pepper spray (used yesterday against polish soldiers). They bring it all the way from Afganistan? Good joke.
Another info from yesterday. BL soldiers tried to break in, destroying border fence and then push the ‚migrants’ towards Poland. This is illegal and no man will pass freely. It is not going to be repeat of 2015 free borders.

Yeah, I'm old enough to remember how things used to be. This is nothing. It's barely a fart in an elevator compared to what used to go on without there being a war.

I'd rate this as a diplomatic tiff. I see ambassadors and slightly raised voices, not tanks moving across borders.

Problem is they're a neo-nazi, anti-semitic group who want jews and non-whites deported from Europe. Various facists and neo-nazi groups from around Europe and the UK travel there to mark the day.

The groups are often trained by Russian military near St Petersburg to conduct terror attacks in Europe and sow division/revolution in Eastern Europe.
