Uh....3. These children were not brought in unattended.

Under “zero tolerance,” the Trump administration directed prosecutors to file criminal charges against those who crossed the border without authorization, including parents, who were then separated from their children when they were taken into custody. But some parents and children who crossed the border at legal ports of entry were also separated from each other.

The remaining information regarding these children is in the article.

After how Trumpers treated leftist and independents the past 4 years, this is a spoonful of cosmic karma.

And you get 2 scoops.

Just curious, how exactly did Trumpers treat leftists and independents for the past 4 years? Because from where I'm sitting, on the outside of the cathedral looking in, looked to me like the right treated the left a hell of a lot more respectfully than the other way around. But what do I know? I'm just one of those whack-a-doodle third-party types that enjoys watching both sides make fools of themselves.

Now see, this is the sort of response I get from Trump haters every time. A giant list of terrible things with no substantive evidence, and no realistic way for me to actually respond in detail to any one of them. It's this 'piling on' tactic that I so often see play out in social media where, if you push back against an accepted leftist narrative, the lefties swarm you like a thousand crazed jackals to the point where you can't possibly keep up or provide any cogent response. So here's what I'm going to do: I'll pick 3 things of my choosing from your list to actually respond to since I can't spend 2 hours addressing every point:

1. "Trump damaged trade from allied countries'. What countries? What trade? Granted, maybe he hurt the weapons trade because he was the first POTUS since Carter to not get us into any new wars. Maybe China? Other than that, best as I could tell, trade was going just dandy until the Rona showed up. Sure he damaged trade with China, and I'm not a fan of his tariffs, but truth be told China was giving us a pounding in the rear for years on trade and we just kept taking it - he lashed out with tariffs and China didn't like it. To damn bad for them. Other than that, I'm at a loss as to what countries and what trade you may be referring to.

Trump dumped the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement that affected trade with New Zealand, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Singapore, and Viet Nam? That's only 13% of all trade on the planet, so no big deal, eh?

And then, as you acknowledged, there are trade problems with China, too.

You see, this is how trade works; someone has goods and sells them to someone who wants them. Simple. But with international trade, tariffs are applied, usually to protect local competing industries. But that does not actually affect the cost of individual goods. So the buyers and sellers work out how to price goods so that there is a balance between industry protection and profitability.

If someone gets greedy, there is a rebalance and the buyer perhaps buys less, or the seller perhaps puts up prices to maintain profitability. The system works and is somewhat stable, finding a natural balance point as many capitalist systems do.

But then someone comes and disrupts that to 'get a better deal' (harder than it looks in a self-balancing system). What this does is gets everyone massively calculating and making projections and re-pricing everything everywhere. All that extra work and effort by all those people, costs. Probably more than any margins someone might try and shave off. Those costs get thrown into the cost of any trade, and the system once again seeks towards stability in spite of all the fuss.

That is why Trump's ham-fisted approach to large scale economies and international trade, an area where he has no experience, has cost both the trading companies, countries, and the US, at the same time.

The trade wars are an additional loss, to everyone, on top of that.

2. "He insulted the pope" LOL! Good, he had it coming. That arrogant socialist should stick to his lane, he has zero credibility in anything outside of bible study class. And I'm a Catholic.

Actually, the Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church, which has 1.2 billion members, and he is supposed to be the ideological and legal representative of Jesus (the Christ and God incarnate), until Jesus returns. The Pope also is the political leader of a sovereign city-state.

3. "He caged children" No he didn't.

Trump migrant separation policy: Children 'in cages' in Texas - BBC News

It's well documented that human traffickers, coyotes, drug cartels, etc. kidnap children from poor central Americans and use them as cover to get into the country. What would you have the border agents do? Just let these people in, only to abandon these poor kids, or even worse traffic them into even more horrific situations? They separate folks coming in illegally until they can confirm that they actually are family-related, and if they aren't, we keep the kids in a holding facility. We look for their families, but sometimes we can't find them and then these kids are stuck. What are we supposed to do, dump them over the border with a 12 pack of gorditas, a $20 bill, and a hearty 'good luck kid'? No, we feed them, shelter them, clothe them, school them, etc. It's no club med, but it's better than being left alone in the mexican desert.

Thousands more migrant kids separated from parents under Trump than previously reported - NBC News

Perhaps you don't treat asylum seekers as criminals until you have evidence that they are criminals? And you don't have a zero-tolerance policy that ignores the innocent.

You also don't redefine what is meant by a criminal, suggesting that asylum seekers who are following the established legal procedure, are criminals because they went across the border. Especially because they cannot request asylum without doing so. It seems to me that imprisoning people who are not breaking any actual statute of law, is itself a criminal act.

Sorry friend, that list of Trump's failures is public record while the Clinton death count is conspiracy driven speculation. If there were more to it than that, don't you suppose that Trump, The Purifier would have had the whole thing sorted out by now? He had both houses for two years and the Senate for two. He has had the DOJ for four years and nothing to prove that Clinton death count. So excuse me if I wait for Trump's man Barr to make the indictments and take it all to court. Or would you rather just let it stay as an urban myth?
