Dude, ask anyone about free anything, and they'll say yes.

Ask me if I'd take free health care, free housing, free clothing, free whatever, and I'd say yes. The thing is that I also know those things can only ever exist in complete state controlled economy which means we all lose out in terms of our personal liberties and rights. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Yea I'm aware of that.

We've spent 6 trillion since 2001 in the Middle East.

If we changed how we spend (blow) money on failed wars, we could get a basic level of health care. It won't happen, hence why I said doubtful that it would.

Right now Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are the three biggest segments of our national budget. I know no one wants to believe that, but it's true. Defense spending wouldn't come anywhere near plugging the budget holes needed to provide the pie-in-the-sky dreams socialists want even if we completely scrapped the entire thing and moved every single red cent over to pay for it.

As big as people think our military budget is, that's how much bigger those three entitlements alone are and how much bigger still that segment of spending would have to be for that degree of expansion.

I'm going to get reamed for saying this, but here I go.

I don't see that happening.

Millennials and those after don't really buy into the far right.

I'd say that there are a good amount who lean right, but you see less and less go to the extreme.

As they get older you'll see less of them buy into the extreme left.

I think extremism as a whole is going to die off as the newer generations take up more of the market so to speak.
