My mum admitted in later years that she discouraged the babysitter from handling me, which may have meant that the girl wasn't talking to me either. I can't see why having lots of attention should slow things down.
My own first words, you may have noticed, were at TWO and a half, so don't start worrying about the grandchildren yet.

Yes i can see, we all can, that they are Very intelligent, and twins are known to have a "secret language" between them. She is sending them to creche next year because she needs some time to herself. We shall see how that works out. I have no idea but i do suspect that she will have trouble with one of the two, one of them is Very attached to her. I mean obviously they both love her above all else ,she is their mom. But one is very independent and the other one cannot be away from her side for a minute, so idk..
