There's the article below with a graphic first three months 3 weather disasters over a billion dollars each & that's just for the first 3 months in 2018! Now this is the real doom porn for ya i think it'll be a few years away until we wont be able to go outside ..you can debate all you want but the consensus is Mother Nature is starting to speak very slowly and loudly. like how the information is piece'd up you cant find any records that are cohesive .... conspiracy anyone??

The average U.S. temperature for the year to date (January through March) was 36.8 degrees F, 1.6 degrees above average, placing it among the warmest third of the climate record.

The average March temperature across the contiguous U.S. was 42.6 degrees F, 1.1 degrees above average

You can't really judge it on how much monetary damage a disaster did -- for a couple of reasons:

1. Inflation.

2. Because of population growth, especially in some regions, people are beginning to live in places that are more susceptible to weather disasters -- places they stayed away from in the past.

For example, more people want coastal homes and condominiums than ever before. Also, more people in California are building homes and other properties at the bottom of landslide-prone hills than in the past. Another example would be that major hurricane hitting Florida in the 1960s would have done much less property damage and killed fewer people than if that same hurricane hit the same place today (because in the 1960s there were fewer people and fewer buildings in the path of the hurricane).

How is this true? This winter/spring has been terrible. about to have the worst april blizzard of all time. I'd say the winter didn't have as much super arctic cold as usual but it also never had some really warm days. I'm guessing the Jet Stream wasn't dipping up and down nearly as much this year.
