We always hear the old right/left dynamics in politics, liberal this, conservative that. I'm not concerned with the tens of millions of people who believe in a publicly espoused political platform. I want to go over my take on the grander scale of 'Right' and 'Left'.

The political left is spearheaded by the Council on Foreign Relations, CFR.

The political right is in the hands of the American Enterprise Institute, AEI.

These two organizations have the same goals of total control over humanity, through a massive reduction in population and vast technological capabilities as to monitor and control every aspect of human activity.

The approach is different, this is where we see the divisions between the voters, who believe there really is a difference in outcome.

I want people, no matter your political ideology, to consider both of these approaches carefully.

The CFR, Hillary Clinton, left-wing side:

In regards to geopolitics, the CFR takes a softer approach on the Middle East. They utilize the support of rebel factions in less-than-US-friendly nations in order to overthrow leaders and installing pro-Western puppet dictators.

We can see this in nations such as Libya, and the failed attempts in Syria and Turkey.

Military involvements consist of 'humanitarian efforts', however when looking at it logically, it has nothing to do with humanitarianism. Syria is a prime example, we were told of the horrors the assad regime was committing against the Syria people using chemical weapons, and how we had to intervene to save them. What we are not told, is that it is integral the US gain control over Syria, because the oil from Iraq requires an oil pipeline through Syria and Turkey in order to get to Europe.

The CFR currently favors war with Russia, which we have seen with the Western backed coup in Ukraine, the proposed missile defense shield in eastern Europe, and the sanctions placed on Russia. We have been fortunate enough, the US has not imposed a no-fly zone in Syria or committed troops into Syria directly at odds with Russia(who also wants control of the oil pipeline going through Syria).

We have heard the propaganda campaign of fake news, and Russian hacking, and now we see the assassination of a Russian ambassador in Syria at the hands of a US-backed al Nusra operative.

I've spoken with several veterans, Yes the US trained ISIS. There is no amount of obfuscation that can change that fact.

From a domestic view, the CFR favors using multi-culturalism and thought policing to control the masses. In order to make everyone live in a wonderful 'socialist' utopia, a massive surveillance system needs to be in place. We have to take away constitutional rights in order to 'equalize' all Americans(except the elite). This embrace is an attempt to destroy America culture, to erase national and cultural identity of being American, and reshape the people into whatever is necessary for goals of a more malleable obedient citizenry.

The AEI, Donald Trump, right-wing side:

Here is the polar opposite of all the left stands for, or see we believe. Keep in mind, the objective is the same, the approach vastly differs.

The AEI powers, and keep in mind CFR/AEI do have some overlap, they are not necessarily enemies as we are led to believe. These people enjoy the same lavish lifestyles among the same social circles.

This organization takes a harder approach on the Middle East. It's 'shock and awe', it's blowing sh*t up. The Iraq invasion is a prime example, we wanted Iraqi oil. Unlike the CFR support 'rebels' and oust the leader for our own puppet-leader, the AEI prefers going in and taking out the leader; then allowing 'democracy' to decide the pro-western friendly puppet-leader.

Donald Trump is president, the AEI has the reigns now, and there approach will be the new norm. We are going into Iran, instead of Russia. The AEI uses terror on our own soil to justify military invasions. There will be a new 9/11 come 2017, sooner than anyone would like. It will be used to justify invasion of Iran.

People may think that this would obviously be an act of war against Russia. The AEI, in my opinion, favors a temporary neutral ground with Russia and siding with them against China. Russia may give covert support to Iran, but there will be no US-Russia conflict in Iran.

Just look at news over the past couple months, this isn't out of the realms of possibility. Trump's not going for the 'One China' rule, his softer approach on Russia, and hard-line stance against Islamic terror.

The AEI uses the fear of terrorism, the war on terror, to justify a massive surveillance state. The AEI favors nationalism over globalism, rather than destroying our American culture through multiculturalism, it is destroyed through fear of 'outsiders'. The justification for eroding our constitutional rights in order to protect us against Islam.

People may not understand the differences are superficial, because the end goal is the same. America and the technology that has been developed since WWII is a Nazis wet-dream. The Nazis failed because they did not have the technological capabilities we have today. It won't fail this time.

In simpler terms, I see the left and right as this.

Global Imperialism VS Imperial Globalism.

Now my take on recent events, the CFR is the more powerful organization at the moment. We have been in a game of one-upmanship against Russia. From US staging coup in Ukraine, Russian invasion of Crimea, US placing sanctions on Russia, Russia supporting rebel factions in Ukraine, US supporting ISIS in Syria and attempting to oust assad, to Russian military involvement in Syria, then US attempting to sabotage Russian elections, then Russian propaganda campaign in US elections. Now we have the assassination of a Russian ambassador, there will be a response, and whichever approach is taken, a global war is coming. The question is who is going to be hit first; Russia, Iran, or China.

We can look at any map of US military bases, it's encircling the East, the Final Battle will commence and it will be unlike anything the world has seen.

Most people won't know or care, all they will know is the 'Truth according to their political ideologues'.

Difference approach.

Same Objective.

Total Control.

The End.

You're not wrong.

Both the Left and Right have their Globalist elements. I don't think either side is 100% Globalists, but I am in agreement that we must oppose both these agendas and retain our sovereignty and most of all our personal liberty.

What I hate to have to say is, following BushCo. and ObamaHillaryCo., the ME is a total disaster, and ISIS...AND Al Qaeda need to be stomped.

If Trump could manage to clean up the Iraq mess, and pretty much leave it at that, then only go in in coalitions if any, then that could be cool. The right thing to do.

WE SHALL SEE...

Him going after the Saudi's is a very promising sign.

Not to derail but the proposed pipeline you're referring would actually be a natural gas pipeline running from Qatar to Turkey (and from there into Europe) going through Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria.

The Obama administration abandoned the proposed missile defense shield during the "Russian Reset." The sanctions and the ultimate failure of the Russian Reset were the result of the annexation of Crimea occurring of course on the heels of the mega-corrupt Putin lapdog Yanukovych getting half-assed impeached by the Ukrainian parliament and Putin whisking him off to Russia.

The impetus from the Western point of view is clearly obtaining an alternate gas supply for Europe so they're not dependent on the Russians via the pipelines through Ukraine which are subject to being cut off by the Russians in political maneuvering.

I don't see us invading Iran. We'll know soon enough what direction things are going though.

You make some interesting observations but mostly this is just wanton speculation without much of anything backing it up except your feelings. In your worldview, all geopolitics seems to be the result of action by evil Americans apparently — evil American oligarchs who want to see America destroyed for some reason or another.

In reality, there are lots of players in the game and they all have their own interests. Like how you start with "US coup in Ukraine." How about you start with the Russian intervention in the 2004 elections in Ukraine (or hell, go back 5 years before that)? There's a reason why Ukranians didn't want Kuchma's hand picked replacement. Are you familair with the name Heorhiy Gongadze or the Cassette Scandal?

We have been fortunate enough, the US has not imposed a no-fly zone in Syria or committed troops into Syria--

US, Turkish, Israeli, Saudi, French and UK attack aircraft operate in Syria wth impunity. Ground forces too. Its a war of attrition against Russia, Iran and Syrian forces, fought covertly with insurgents and 'special' forces that supply and train the 'rebels' with advanced weaponry.

A declared no fly zone isn't going to make a significant change. It just gives the illusion of credibility to actually attacking Assads principle military assets. And those are guarded by advanced surface to air weapons technology that can't be defeated without sustaining major losses and widening the conflict.

Thats why the slow burn for the last half decade.

Maybe I didn't word it accurately, it was a little hurried. It is true there is a proposed gas pipeline from Qatar running through Syria, and would factor into the strategic importance of Syria.

Here is a map, of OIL pipeline to Syria from Iraq.

I want to be clear about something, I'm not saying the US is sole source of evil oligarchs. However, compare US defense spending vs the rest of the world. That should draw you a clear picture, I could dig around for some graphs for understanding.

Natural gas is second to oil in terms of consumption, and it will be second for a long time still. It's true natural gas will replace oil, being that it is cleaner, but that is decades away.

I was in highschool in 2004, I did not pay any attention to politics or world events. I do remember a couple years later the Russian invasion of Georgia. I remember Fox News interviewing a little girl who was there, and they asked her about running away from the evil Russians. Do you know what her response was? She was running away from the Georgians, and the Russians saved her. Fox News cut the interview short.

Not saying Russia is good, but with US defense budget greater than Russia/China/France/Saudi Arabia/UK/Japan/India combined, I think we need to get our priorities in order.

I really hope I'm wrong about Trump.

His pick Rex Tillerson had a contrast between the AEI and CFR.

Rex Tillerson Could Be a Good Secretary of State— But Not in a Trump Administration

I did a search, I guess you're right about the airstrikes, even CNN reported it in September.

I believe widening the conflict would be considered a global war, that would change things considerably. It would no longer be isolated in the M.E.

Stay tuned, right now Iran, Turkey and Russia are meeting to decide the course of action in Syria, all of whom have been invited by the legitimate government in Damascus. The US was excluded, is not invited to participate in Syrian internal affairs and is currently losing the covert war to make assad go.

The reaction by Washington, Brussels (NATO) will tell how wide the conflict will rage from this point forward.

Make no mistake, BOTH are wrong, but they have vastly different objectives and methodologies. The first is akin to a type of genocide, while the latter is akin to releasing an incurable virus into their own population. One works from the outside, and the other from the inside. Significantly different strategies of evil. Ironically though, the end games are the same or very similar (even though they despise each other). The neocons and socialists differ wildly with their ideologies but their end-game is nearly identical...CONTROL, POWER and DOMINATION.

Absolutely. Our only real hope is these two competing ideologies, at the top tier, do have their little civil war and wipe each other out. If either one endures, it will be the end of the world as we know it.

S+F. Geopolitics can be easy to understand and at the same time also complicated due to many elements and layers involved.

The CFR and AEI are just two of the many *think tanks* involved in American foriegn and domestic policy shaping. For instance, 'The Brookings Institute' and its offspring 'The Washington Institute for Near East Policy' are tied into CFR and AEI along with a few other key geopolitical policy shaping institutes. The topic of think-tanks — concerning who operates and funds them — is another complex subject. Yet, understanding their role will help shed a brighter light on American geopolitical motives.

We have to take away constitutional rights in order to 'equalize' all Americans(except the elite).

I believe class-warfare alone is needed. Like Kissinger once stated: “Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people.”

US strategy deliberately destroyed family farming in the US and abroad and led to 95% of all grain reserves in the world being under the control of six multinational agribusiness corporations

This embrace is an attempt to destroy America culture, to erase national and cultural identity of being American, and reshape the people into whatever is necessary for goals of a more malleable obedient citizenry.

I think the opposite is what they after. National patriotism helps fuel American imperialist agendas. Without soldiers who enlist mostly due to drinking the patriotic kool-aid and also for dire economic reasons — it would be much harder to operate the mighty U.S military industrial complex and thus carry out imperialist agendas. Soldiers need to buy into the lie — possess cognitive dissonance and prejudice— in order to perform their patriotic duty. If they do not — truth, empathy, compassion and morals will arise. It will flood their conscience allowing their humanity to guide them instead.

The American military industrial complex mode of operation can be found in examples Nazism:

What the Nazis did was not describing what was true about Jewish people, but what would have to be true in order to justify what they planned to do next. The Nazi Jew hating was not a statement of fact but a declaration of intent. They forcefully projected a false ideology within their own minds in order to justify their immoral actions.

Bigots, racist, xenophobes also possess this ignorant mind-state due to being conditioned by propaganda. One can easily see this conditioning being demonstrated right here on ATS by *some* people in how they view Muslims, Jews, Chinese, Russians, Middle Easterners, Africans, Mexicans, South Asians, and so on.

...there will be a response, and whichever approach is taken, a global war is coming.

1. The biggest obstacle to liberation struggles around the world is US imperialism.

2. The biggest obstacle to global peace is US imperialism.

3. The US is not a civilized and democratic nation under attack. The US terrorizes the world and uses resistance as cause for further violence. And if that continues — yes, there will be a global war.

Brzezinski is not only the architect of the mujahadin-led campaign against Russia in Afghanistan in the 1980s, but also, the author of "The Grand Chessboard--American Primacy and its Geostrategic Imperatives", the operating theory behind “the war on terror” which involves massive US intervention in Central Asia to control vital resources, fragment Russia, and surround manufacturing giant, China.

"The Grand Chessboard" is the 21st century's version of the Great Game. The book begins with this revealing statement:

"Ever since the continents started interacting politically, some five hundred years ago, Eurasia has been the center of world power.....The key to controlling Eurasia is controlling the Central Asian Republics."

This is the heart-and-soul of the war on terror. The real braintrust behind "never-ending conflict" was actually focussed on Central Asia. It was the pro-Israeli crowd in the Republican Party that pulled the old switcheroo and refocussed on the Middle East rather than Eurasia. Now, powerful members of the US foreign policy establishment (Brzezinski, Albright, Holbrooke) have regrouped behind the populist "cardboard" presidential candidate Barack Obama and are preparing to redirect America's war efforts to the Asian theater. Obama offers voters a choice of wars not a choice against war.
