Nobody has ever claimed we are monkeys or apes, they are our closest link in terms of genetics. Science and DNA shows Darwin wasn't that wrong in fact quite the opposite.

Suppose the world is only a few thousand years old and dinosaur bones were put here for a god's amusement. Then their is all that coal and oil, cliffs of Dover etc.

Big bang is a theory a one with supporting evidence unlike God willed it it does not need a dedication of faith.

I'm not too fussed about ownership of resources, that was not my point.

My point was coal is fossilised trees, it requires time and pressure to evolve to that point. Dinosaurs were reptiles not unlike modern day reptiles but certainly not the same! Also for the record I dare state Dinosaurs did not terrorize natives nor did anything from the Jurassic period or beyond.

I'm bewildered by your America comment. I'm British and I know that the US stood for progress at it's inception and still does for the best part. Science fits the bill for modern western democracies, I believe the founding fathers were in good standing seperating religion from state. Egypt proved in in the form of surviving famine through careful planning, all nations also did this at some point in history, or points for older nations, and where clearly power is heavy and the apex of the pyramid farthest from gravity must thread lightly.

The power pyramid always corrupt the top since the top do not listen equally to the observation of the whole society and therefore ignore suffering that can be relived if listening equally. You can get people to accept saving resources for a disaster without a power power pyramid by showing them the facts behind the decision.

There are ideas where you put the people who know things decide on how they should be implemented giving them the responsibility from society to solve the problems that come up. Even today the power pyramid uses these ideas to have specialists that know what should be done that should give the decision makers a plan to implement. The decision makers should be the specialists who know what they are doing since having someone ignorant making a decision over an specialist is just inefficient. Change implementation should be used instead.
