My husband and I are looking to go on vacation around the end of June.
We want to take our dog, she is a small dog around 10 pounds.
We live in Louisville KY and want to go for about 4 nights.
I want something on water and he wants to hike so a beach on the ocean or a great lake or just a lake or river would be ideal.
I would love to hear from someone who knows of places who welcomes pets, or if you want to just share your pet vacation story would love to hear about it!
We both also love to camp!

Cape May, NJ is pet friendly with many of the hotels, B&B's and restaurants allowing dogs.

We often head over to Lower Township on the Delaware Bay side of Cape Island since the beaches are dog friendly.

Cklein, I'm sure you both have been to the panhandle of Fl. Check out this National Park!!

You can camp IN the woods and walk right out to the beach
we saw 3 bears there last year

It sure isn't the Cayman Islands -- you have to get a complete vet exam and certification and "passport".

You know how hard it is to get a cat to smile for a photo?

I came across this Bringfido site, which seems tailored toward bringing your pal.

Also, this one from the Gulf Shores.

Greetings-

Here is a website for pet friendly spots here in Fl.

www.bringfido.com...

In June, MajorLeagueBaseball will be in full swing and the Miami Marlins have a 'Bring Your Dog To The Park Nights' so here is a website for spots in the Miami area. Y'all will see lower prices but it'll be hotter than Hades in July, no crowds or as 'some' tourists are known as "Snow Turds" I mean 'Snowbirds' ..

Enjoy Your Trip

You don't scare us.
We're ready! We are fair acquainted with cat rodeos. I'm sure we can accommodate another. It's what we live for. ;o)
