I very much like the idea of being a firefighter, I want to help people, I only choose law enforcement because its possible and I can achieve retirement. I'd certainly be an against the grain type of cop. No power trip here. Id actually be wanting to protect and serve. Probably why it won't happen.

CO is a bit more realistic for me because I would value the mental strength I would be forced to develop and I wouldn't be the dude arresting and ruining people's lives. However In order to hold the job I would have to be exactly like the others and do exactly as I am Instructed by my superiors.

It's in my blood, my Father is the warden at Lemon creek correctional In Juneau.

Only thing dissuading me from pursuing firefighter is I've heard repeatedly the pay is not so great. I am not materialistic but want to make a lot of money simply so my family can prosper and always be happy. My entire adult life has been one of financial struggle and barely getting by, I must end that soon.
