China vs. US - a ruse or greater?

This is a very interesting video about the China vs. USA conflict. It's a question that I've been examining for a while - is there really a conflict or is it all made up for the world stage? Perhaps a mix of both.

Most importantly there are continued reports regarding what appear to be conflicting ideas:
1. China is signing onto the coalition with Russia with regard to Syria
2. China has also been signing cooperation agreements with the US - China and US cybersecurity and earlier this year Military dialogue (keep in mind that General Ray Odierno has retired as of Aug. 2015)

James Corbett asks:

"What is the truth behind this story of conflict and cooperation? Is this a genuine rivalry, a smoke-screen being used to distract the public or a little bit of both?"

Obviously with the recent posts on ATS:
1. China ready to use military force...
2. Australia to join Chinese navy exercises
3. US navy to send destroyer...challenge China

Regardless, there is a strange mix of threat and cooperation coming from China. Is this purposeful or merely for the sake of a greater drama?

For me, China is currently a leader in labor force and product manufacturing for many western corporations. It seems strange that China really would bite the hand that feeds it. But, after all the imperialistic occupation (British, American, Japanese, and now western corporations) it's possible they have had enough manipulation at the hands the various Empires.

More interesting to the idea that China is playing along at the same time tricking the rest of the world is this article from earlier this year from the Washington Times - China conducting 100-year ruse to deceive west into providing support discussing a book by Michael Pillsbury, The Hundred-Year Marathon.

From Pillsbury's book website:

Based on interviews with Chinese defectors and newly declassified, previously undisclosed national security documents, The Hundred-Year Marathon reveals China’s secret strategy to supplant the United States as the world’s dominant power, and to do so by 2049, the one-hundredth anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic.
...
He offers an inside look at how the Chinese really view America and its leaders – as barbarians who will be the architects of their own demise.

I have to agree with Pillsbury's examination of the Chinese - the US are barbarians who will be the architects of our own demise. But I don't think that China taking the place of the US as "world police" is a great idea either.

So our options are:
1. China is pretending to saber rattle while actually playing along with the US gov't and it's own NWO global objectives
2. China is pretending to work with the US (and corporations) while plotting greater move for its own world dominance

As I always come back to Joss Whedon's Firefly where the world is dominated by English and Chinese speakers because the US and China were the only remaining superpowers. I suppose Whedon's vision of the Alliance closely matches the idea of the NWO.

Looking to spark some good debate, because I find the China/US relationship a very interesting one and we seem to possibly be on the verge of something monumental (though 2049 is a ways off).

My very first thread here related to the rise of China.

The Chinese are coming, they are thick amongst it in my country.

Chinese investment is good, plus they can learn a trick or two from the current Tory Government.

The so-called battles among the super powers are minor skirmishes as each tries to better their positions in relatively minor disputes underneath the usual word assaults. Very similar to the "battle" between the democrats and republicans in the US. No real blood is spilt, only theater is produced as both areas, major world and nationalistic political powers advance the whole of their respective systems toward a PC NWO. (Is that term redundant?)

US democracy and constitution is a major obstacle to NWO (fascism) so Rothschilds created modern China as the new world power and is using free trade as the vehicle to transfer all western wealth into China. They will continue to loot US until it collapses and when it does the population will gladly accept anything to put food on their tables. But banksters often use wars to accelerate their plans so I wouldn't rule out the possibility of WW3,

The Chinese are a good investment because they are moving closer and closer to being the single major producer of nearly all things. If they could reach 75+ % of global production they could flip the (relative) switch and control the world.

Last week's U.S. naval patrol in the South China Sea threatened China's sovereignty and security interests, and the U.S. should not take any more dangerous actions that threaten China's sovereignty, Chinese Defense Minister Chang Wanquan said.

This is getting serious. Now Chinese defense minister is talking directly to US Sec. of Defense.

Does this mean China will do something when the USN sends its ships near the islands again i.e. within 12 miles zone?
If China does not then words of Defense Minister will come out empty, which is embarrassing atleast.

Here is the US response by Pacific Command's Admiral Harris

US to operate 'wherever' law allows in South China Sea

I do not think China will do anything for the moment other than make noise.

To not make any noise would lessen the legitimacy even more of what they are doing.

And some ship sailing past a couple of times a month is a small price to pay for the military outposts they have made and will probably make.

Longer term something else might happen.

Does make you ask yourself if the project for the new American century was a lot of nonsense.
However, since they used the new pearl harbour part of it I'm not so sure this isn't part of the plan to keep feeding China and Russia want they want to hear...

The US an China do not have any areas of direct conflict. China stays neutral world affairs and that includes Ukraine and Syria simply because they have no interest in antagonizing the US. In return the US does not recognize Taiwan and makes sure they are armed well enough to stop a Chinese invasion but, not well enough to go out and challenge China elsewhere. And of course the US is China's life blood in trade. With Chinese wages growing and other nations with low wages cutting into China's manufacturing China does not need the US picking a new supplier.

So what is the problem between China and the US? China wants to dominate the Pacific region and have all the other states fall in line. The other states of course do not like this idea and several of them are US allies. That is where the conflict comes in. The US is not going to walk away from its allies and China does not like being just another Pacific state. Add that to China's lack of diplomatic skills and you have trouble.

You have ASEAN who has several states that have terrible relations with China in particular the Philippines, Vietnam, Brunie and Burna. You have Japan and China who do not get along. You Taiwan and China who do not get along. And you have India stepping in as well. China has been pushing its way into the India Ocean so in return India is inserting itself into the South China Sea. Delhi angers Beijing

While the US and China are engaged in a show of power in the South China Sea, India decided to side with the Philippines on its claims to the waters.
In an official joint statement issued after Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj met Philippines' Secretary of Foreign Affairs Albert F Del Rosario, Delhi referred to the disputed region as the West Philippine Sea, reports The Economic Times.
This is the first such official instance and government officials told the newspaper that it was a deliberate decision to use the name which Philippines has been using for the past few years to refer to the waters which both they and China claim as theirs.

It is pretty much China versus the entire region. And with Japan, India and the US in the mix China does not stand a chance. They have begun talking to other states on how to avoid things getting out of hand with power plays in the South China Sea and China will not directly challenge the US but, that does not hold true for the other states in the area. On the plus side China has united the Pacific states in a way they have been before, it is just united against China.

US democracy is a scam and a sick joke! The binary political system is owned and much of the money is donated to candidates by the members of the elite class to lobby for their interests. They already have much of the U.S in their pocket and the citizen's enslaved to fictional debt. The U.S will collapse under its own blubbery weight, the fact that the country is still operating at over 17 trillions USD in debt is a miracle in and of itself. Somebody is really trying their hardest to keep the U.S afloat financially.

The one valid point you have is the constitution is a bit of an obstacle if you believe they plan to erode the U.S's national sovereignty...At least for now. The next or future president(s) may have a number of executive orders at their disposal to override the constitution to instigate or perpetuate a conflict with China in the south china sea. Your right though, wars are a very lucrative business for the banking system as governments tend to loan out more money to keep the war machine pumping.

In regards to WW3, It's unofficially been going on for a few decades now...

If the U.S is controlled by entities other than the recognised government then the budget itself probably doesn't matter.
It'll be a budget within a budget.

The budget is definitely relevant, taxpayers are used to foot the bill for failing trans-national entities that have huge stake holdings in a nation-state's economy and politics. We've seen this so eloquently done by entities such as Bank of America and other banks during the 2007-2008 crash.

We've also seen it done by GM and other american automotive companies,(with the exception of Ford and some Euro and Asian car companies) the corporations and companies I mentioned are one of the many subsidiaries used by the elite class that lobby and have strong pull in national affairs. There would be no need to hide part of the costs in a separate budget when their teasing it right in our faces.

They have no choice. If they pulled the carpet too quickly it could result in a revolution, And if a new government went all terrorist on banks by taking up the Syrian Gaddafi model in giving each new family a free block of land (and allowing 50K homes to be built). There'd be no need for debt, no need for banks, They loose.

Instead they have to enslave todays people and their children into debt, forever and a day, to remain in control. So it doesn't matter if debt is 17 trillion or 100 trillion, its only paper to them.

A revolution would not follow a U.S economic collapse...People are way too comfortable to start violently revolting against the government unfortunately. This also wouldn't be the first time in history where major social change occurred after the collapse of an economic system.

Take the Meiji restoration in Japan during the late 19th century for example. The abolition of the feudal system and the rise of adopting western style economic policies lead many conservative and traditionalist in japan to feel their way of life threatened by such a change. They had rebellions like Satsuma which was curbed by the imperial army, life continued on and more of the conservatives assimilated into the new system.

My point essentially is this, if the U.S economy collapses a new system will replace it. Since China has(or will end up officially doing so)superseded the U.S as an economic super power I wouldn't be surprised if some communist economic policies will be adopted into the new system or at the very least a few socialist policies. Then you might have a few conservatives calling for a revolution..

It's not relevant.
If group A controls $500tr in funds, assets, cash, equities, gold and other commodities etc then when group B needs funds it's all a budget within a budget.
The U.S is a shell corporation profiting from war as it's primary revenue stream.

This is of course speculation.

Paper indeed. They hold power over the majority of the world that buys into the fiat currency system. I think it's why they are so fearful of preppers, esp. the ones that are serious about not having debt, hoarding gold/silver, and stock piling supplies... no power over them.

If I was China, I would do more than make noise at this point. The US is weak right now and will be for the next 2-3 years, maybe beyond.

I do have a suspicion that China is tired of playing nice with the great manipulator of the world.
