the point is that we are no better than any of the above go and look at the deaths post-world war 2.

Mr Bush was kind enough to point out after sep 11th "Americans are asking why do they hate us?"
Bush's answer "They hate our freedoms - our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to vote and assemble and disagree with each other... whether we bring our enemies to justice or justice to our enemies, justice will be done... America was targeted for attack because we're the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world"

i am just trying to show that today's war's have nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with America wanting a government favourable to them in certain countries, the countries Bush has targetted for regime change don't pose any kind of threat, this sums up what i am saying

Not true.
It's the "common people" in Africa who are doing most of the killing.
It was the "common people" in the Balkans who were doing most of the killing.
It was the "common people" who killed 4 Israeli soldiers a couple of days ago.
It was the "common people" who have started some of the bloodiest revolutions and created the most murderous societies in this world - Russia, China, Cambodia, Rwanda, to name just a couple from dozens.



Al Qaida is a terrorist organisation of "common people".


Don't think for one moment that the "common people" love you. Fact is, that quite often, they don't.

Quite often the "common people" use their government as an excuse to kill. To hide behind.
When that happens you've got to defend yourself.


We in the West are different. Our "common people" hold life sacred. We don't have the guts or the will to defend ourselves unless our governments tell us to.

Our rose tinted spectacles sometimes get shattered. When they do, we expect our governments to pick up the bill.

Leveller, your taking it out of context, it applies to the way the western people were convinsed of the need for war when it wasn't there.

if 40% of US had not thought Saddam had something to do with 9/11, the public wouldn't have wanted war.
