I wasn't complaining about the video, only making an observation.

You may be right about the thick skin. Though I can think of at least two users off the top of my head who would take issue with the video you just shared. I guess we'll see if they end up in this thread!

ETA:

Aw, you removed it!

Alright I was wrong, I jumped the gun and should have watched more of his videos before I made my conclusion.

He does have some killer hair too.

As I was watching this video I was cringing a little though I did find it quite funny. I was cringing realizing many might not know what this guy is about..

Funny stuff.

I actually like the spiritual one more, because I do actually sound like that sometimes.

Should I leave??????

Nah Ima stay

"Why so serious?"

Come on atheists. The debates around here get plenty heated enough. Surely we can laugh at ourselves occasionally.

Would you find it funny if the roles were reversed?

I was just thinking about that! About how many Christians would get wound up and offended if I or any other atheist posted a comedy piece about how to be a Christian.

OH stop you guys do it all the time on the forum.

Not sure JP is even a Christian.

I have no idea

He's actually not a Christian. He's a new age type of guy (he makes fun of them too). I only know this because my wife is a big fan of his.

Yea he is a life coach of sorts, and I loved the new age one, I think I posted it, and I was a new ager for a long time, it was funny because I could so relate to it.

Yeah, I didn't want to change the tone of the thread with that one.

Betty America's Best Christian will get her own thread someday, I'm sure. Her channel is amazing.

LOL, this 2nd one is even better!

Proactive Competitive Spirituality.

Judging others to be less spiritual than you shows you are a better person then them.... Funny!

I have always felt uncomfortable with aspects of my own spirituality, like the namaste thing, it made me feel silly like it wasn't really me.

Also over the top Christian exuberance made me feel uncomfortable.

Is that bad?

No, my in-laws are like that. They are Italian AND Southern Baptist. Let me tell you that it's a, umm, interesting mix.

I was brought up a lot more reserved, so sitting down to have a family prayer and having the whole family doing the call/response "Yes, Jesus!" routine after every line is a bit uncomfortable. I can't knock them if they're genuinely called to it, but I feel so like a fish out of water.

Now that second one was really funny to me.

There's more people around me talking like that than talking like the OP atheist one.

No. Not bad to feel uncomfortable. My Daughter in law's Aunt used to really make me feel uncomfortable with her giant sized smile. I think the first time I saw her was in a grocery store coming toward me. I was backing away.
