I ran across this little poem I wrote back in 8th grade. Tells how old I am but I did get a laugh out of it and hope you do too. Please overlook all
writing mistakes, it was wrote long ago
IF I WERE THE PRESIDENT
If I were President
I'd not dictate
Nor would I sit around and wait
Like Nixon and Ford and Watergate
I'd stand up strong
and I'd stand up tall
and I'd tell the people all
I would not try to decide right, I would
And yet if some disagree, that's good
For it's been said once
and I'll say it again
You can't please everyone, my friend
So if the worlds still around
And we haven't turned commie
When I have grown up
And not still with mommie
Elect me and you'll see
Where we could be
No wars to be fought
No giving away what we aint got
That and more is what you'd get
IF I WERE THE PRESIDENT
