So I'm back out in the desert again. This trip included a visit to the Palmdale Air Park, which was sadly closed, so I had to shoot through the fence. But here are the pictures of this trip.

I initially put them in as pics. Then when I went to send them to someone, I realized that they're huge pics, so I changed them to thumbs.

Lol.. yes they are large. I think that was the loading issue.
But non the less I was able to zoom even better on some of the shots.
I couldn't tell if the blackbirds were the A-12 or the SR-71.
There should be a drone there too for the blackbirds.

I still can't see any pictures ( just shows an X over the thumbnail) unless I click on them and then they are huuuuuuuge. Liked the SR-71 pic.

No joy here. Just little squares.

I'll try on another computer...

EDIT: OK guys you have to click on them...

And Zaph, that fence doesn't look THAT high...

One of each. The one on the left as you're looking nose on is a -71, the other is the -12. The D-21 and U-2 didn't come out.

Awesome pics! Anyone else catch the the anomalies in the sky in pics sf5511ec71.JPG (something black in the sky) and tt5511ed0c.JPG (small odd vertical contrail popping up from a cloud)

I see yours goes to 11.

(that was my attempt at a Spinal Tap joke in reference to your camera resolution)

If there's an Xtreme button on his camera, Zaph would be the one to find it -- and consistently use it.

Hell yes I would. Makes for better pics. Yes they're huge, but I have a 4GB card in there.

The nice thing is...if you ever want to print them out in a decent size to frame, you've got enough pixels.

I won't stay long I promise:-) that NASA Jet is one weird looking plane I suppose there would have been a lot of stuff in that puppy.
The picture of the stealth fighter on the stand was very nice but what really caught my eye was the plane behind it in the picture 8019 very cool looking plane and nice and shiny.
The second and last photos were spy planes?
If so they are much much larger than I ever Imagined, they are not that big in the movies:-)
Anyhow thanks very much for posting these wonder pictures even if I don't understand them all. Very cool stuff to look at.

Regards, Iwinder

Sweet, I didn't know they had a Draken there. I`d love to see that one up close as well as the other ladies when I make it to the west coast. They all remind me of that static F-105G outside Arnold AFB, first plane I got to get up close to and touch a little over 25 years ago.

The NASA aircraft is the 747 that carried the shuttle across country.

The last picture, the aircraft in the foreground is the SR -71 Blackbird. The one in the background is an A-12.
