No, the clerk didn't tell the truth.

I edited my post when I found out he wasn't telling the truth.

WHAT is "just what the Anti-2nd crowd does"??? What did I do?

I SUPPORT the second amendment. I support them all, in fact.

I'm not American i just cant believe that is so ingrained in you, that anybody who wants to change the gun laws is something you would consider Un-American, that IS weird.

Well you have to remember how our country gained its independence. Without guns America wouldn't exist, and the reason we cherish our guns is because they are an essential tool should the need to fight our government or a foreign invasion force ever comes up.

If you look at Germany prior to WW2, one of the first things Hitler did was basically take guns away from the citizens, leaving those who disagreed without a way to fight him. Now I'm not calling anyone or any group Hitler, this is just another example of why we like our guns.

Someone should set up hidden cameras at the abortion clinic. Right before the "doctor" does the deed he should hold the blender to the womans face and tell her how disgusting she is, and that his wife made peanut butter cookies with it.

Wonder where they found an anti-gun nutter that strangely knew how to handle and speak about weapons.

No , it is Anti- Constitutional to attempt to do away with people's right to bear arms. That is what concerns most of the people posting here . If "gun" control starts , where does it stop ? I myself am not a "gun" enthusiast , but I will defend to the death people's rights under the Constitution. And no , they are not crazy (for the most part) just have strong beliefs in doing things they like to do as long as it is lawful and is not hurting anyone. Do you have any hobbies ? Would you like for someone to call you crazy because you had them ? There are a lot of people injured or killed in the shower of their home. Should we go for shower control next ? See thats part of what is wrong with the world today . One person is not like the other . And instead of recognizing and accepting this fact , we want our governments to install legislation to force the one to be like the other. Sad

What do you mean it wasn't directed at me? You responded directly to my post... I'd like to know what you meant... or did you just jump to the conclusion that my logical stance on this put me in the "camp" of "anti-second amendment" crowd?

Disgusting!

Im American. Guns are friggin awesome. I want as many as I can afford. Lots of ammo too!

Pop, Pop,...Bang....sweetness. The smell of Hoppe's 9 and break free CLP is like perfume to me.

I have 4 pistols sitting on the work bench as we speak. Will be doing some test firing this weekend.

A well fitted and put together, accurate gun is a beautiful thing.

So if someone put up a fake abortion clinic and then shamed the customers who came in, would it receive as good a reception from the left?

So, to you and all who starred your post: What would you think about a LAW that forced gun buyers to go through a "clinic" and learn certain "negative information" about the item they were considering purchasing? Would you approve of tests, waiting periods and other limits on the purchase of this product? What would to think of the legislators who would support such laws?

Because MANY states have just that for women who want an abortion. Do you support these laws that make women wait, take tests, and time limits on their own personal medical care?

Since YOU brought up the abortion analogy and all...

This is just wrong.

I have a friend that used to be a 911 operator.

He can't count the times that someone has called him from a closet in fear for their lives while someone was breaking in.

And he wished they had a gun to defend themselves.

I would say if the scenario's were precisely matched then sure, but I don't go into a gun store to buy a gun specifically to kill someone right after I buy it. If that was the case, then I would be a mass murderer at this point. People that go into abortion clinics are there specifically to kill a human being, and there is a specific timeline depending on how pregnant they are, so I would say that sure..they likely need more tests and counseling than a person going into a gun store to exercise a constitutional right needs.....

A fetus is not a "human being". I'm not going to argue the specifics of abortion here, I just wanted to see how many would come out with a hypocritical stance, as pointed out by NavyDoc. Thanks for being the first (and probably only) brave one to step up.

I'm not calling people crazy for liking guns or wanting guns. I'm talking about calling other American people who dont like guns and dont want guns Un American. Thats what i find weird.
It's a very narrowminded view, like those who call people who supported racial integration race traitors.

You know what's un-American? Telling me that your personal beliefs trump my personal beliefs, and then changing the law to force your beliefs on me. Actually, now that I think about it, that's pretty standard in America....

But my point is that its un-American to force your beliefs on somebody else. Many in the GC crowd don't favor better regulation, they favor the removal of all weapons, period.

Personally, I am in favor of gun control. But not when it's directed at law abiding citizens, while criminals flout the law. Added in: I am referring to the removal of guns entirely here. Not the simple basic stuff like background checks and so on.

Oh, they've passed a new law making it even more illegal for me to have this gun than it already was? Gosh, I better put it down! - said no criminal, anywhere, ever.

Arguable it isn't, but it is still killing something that WILL be a human just like you and me. As I would never take the decision to take a human life lightly, I don't have to worry about making that decision unless someone is trying to kill me....Abortion, on the other hand, is the exact opposite of the decision I have.

And I don't think my stance is hypocritical at all. I simply think the analogy here is off because of circumstances for each situation being opposite ends of the spectrum.

In response. That is common practice when I have to go to the hospital for treatments or surgeries. A couple of times , I had to go through batteries of tests just to show I was in good enough health physically and mentally to have surgeries to help save my life.Ironic , isn't it ? but required. And there are always the follow-ups in the room that are designed to show me how to care and signs to watch for after release .
