Not by committing a felony in the process.

Change how?

I'm all for repealing the AWB of 1986 if that's what you mean.

Right. Opportunity and action are two different things entirely though.

(Hypothetical) Maybe all of these fire arms were life like prop guns and not actually capable of firing projectiles?

Interesting, so it could have been a play to scare shoppers. now that i could totally see.

The libs don't want to CHANGE gun laws-they want to TAKE ALL GUNS.(but only from law abiding citizens).

It's as anti-American as someone can get.

The 2nd defines the gun laws clearly.

Using bullying and lies seems to be the only course of action for Anti-2nd types.

You do know there is a method, a legal method for changing such laws. You and others like you just know your "want" would fall flat on its face in failure.

I didn't see ANY shame... I didn't see any customer looking ashamed. They looked sad and had second thoughts about what they entered the store for. Remember... this is edited. I'm sure there were some who got pissed when they found out what it was about, and went elsewhere to buy a gun.

Edit: So I found out that not only were the guns not the actual ones in the shootings, they're not even real guns. So they WERE lying. I can't support this. Not only is it against state law, it's dishonest and frightens people with lies. I can't support it. Source

So if someone put up a fake abortion clinic and then shamed the customers who came in, would it receive as good a reception from the left?

If all they did was tell the truth about abortion, I wouldn't have a problem with it. But if they DID shame, lie, or make up crap like so many websites and organizations do, I would take issue with it.

So... would you be as repulsed by a fake abortion clinic and call them "gutless pukes" if they disabled comments?

Would it be at all outrageous to start an abortion clinic, perform the abortions, then mail the dead fetus in a bag to the owners residence with a note that reads "MURDERUR".

Can't technically call it sick, because these people don't mind killing their bastard children, kinda like honor killings in the middle east, it all makes sense now! We really are a nation of Islam.

Anti 2nd imo are Anti-American. These are the same control freaks that lobbied against prayer, against nativity scenes, etc...

Because prayer and nativity scenes are intrinsically American? Yikes. Calling people anti-American because they don't agree with you on a particular issue like gun control is pretty anti-American in my opinion.

How good is the reception of this stunt "from the left?" Let's just pretend that everyone on the left is for more gun laws and everyone on the right is for banning abortion (because you know, partisan polarization) and ignore the fact that there's absolutely no comparison between buying a gun and having an abortion. What if frothy mouthed anti-gun groups were lining up outside of every gun store in the country holding up pictures of people killed with firearms and calling would be buyers murderers? What makes one right and the other wrong? Are you outraged about the vehement protests outside of abortion clinics?

a reply to: macman

It was a stunt by some gun control group to create a propaganda video. By popularizing it, Brietbart draws more attention to it. Of course they also managed to get people like you riled up and tuning back in for their own propaganda so it's a win for both sides.

This stunt is neither going to influence public opinion on any sort of measurable scale or lead to a change in gun laws so who cares? Unless of course they broke the law in which case those involved should be prosecuted accordingly.

No, the clerk didn't tell the truth.
He only presented one side of each of those guns, the truth cannot be selective, so really he LIED by only stating what he wanted to.

I wish they would move to one of the many countries out there that don't allow guns and stfu. Where do all these 'organizations' get $$$ from? Who pays all these anti-american activists, politicians, lobby'ists anyway? Must be nice to never have to work to pay bills.

People that use Shame to try and manipulate other people are disgusting vile creatures.... imo
I agree that this is a shameful thing, and the Anti-2nd crowd are doing more damage to their cause than good with this ill-conceived campaign. If it were me in that store, I'd follow up by asking "Approximately how many school children will a single round from this AR-15 pass through?" Then I'd buy two. If only to see the looks on their faces.

However, to address your second sentence, Religion and Government should never, ever mix. When religion and government mix, you get things like Saudi Arabia, or the ISIS Caliphate. Do we want that in the US? I sure don't.

Only presented one side? What is the other side exactly? "This gun was also used for target practice every Saturday at 4 pm"? You really don't have a case for a lie from omission here. If the guns really were used for homicides, then stating that fact and nothing else IS telling the truth. Don't get me wrong, I think this is a stupid stunt this anti-gun group is doing and I would do everything in my power to troll them if I ran into them in real life. I just don't think there were any lies of omission occurring here.

How about Glock 9mm:

Used by many police forces world wide for its exceptional reliability, also makes a great choice for home protection.. just keep it out of reach of your children.

ETA: He also lied when he said that those guns were the EXACT gun used during those crimes. Certainly they weren't.. the exact guns are still locked up in evidence lockers or destroyed, so he lied there too.

It is NOT weird, Think about other countries with traditions. How would they act if you just went there and started lobbying to take away that right?

I'll move to Ireland and lobby to ban the celebration of St. Paddy's day. Sound right? he'll ill ban alcohol consumption, and ill twist and say it caused the IRA.

This is what's happening in America, Twists and lies to remove peoples rights and traditions, because others don't understand them.

Well here's the thing. You are trying to analyze a sale pitch here and trying to push an argument that not including your above pitch is a lie of omission on the part of the salesperson. So would it also be a lie of omission if a sales person gave your above pitch but neglected the one in the op?

I would. I think someone with a truly valid point to make can accomplish it without resort to dishonesty or irrationality.
