Don't know if this commercial fits the description of "asinine", but it gave me laughs as a kid. What wasn't very funny was the fact that my older brother just had to have one and to this day, the sound of clapping makes me want to punch somebody. Honorable mention to Chia Pets.

There is one I quite like, but it's for a windows firm in England and wont mean anything to anyone who doesn't live here.

I will, however, say this:

All ads for McDonald's and Money Supermarket should be destroyed without delay.
