Which is why i added the "...OR for normal jet engines
that upper atmospheric conditions are becoming coincident
enough to result in the viewed Donuts on a Rope configuration."

I simply don't know one way or another!
It's really anybody's guess as to why those
specific DOR's appear even with normal
jet engines. I just know enough that
rapid pressure changes will cause exhaust
vapourization but HOW the rings form needs
a bit more of a hydrodynamic simulation on
a powerful computer for us to be absolutely
SURE of the how and why DOR rings form!

...ANYWAYS....I hope my earlier comments
on Plasma Sheathing piques everyone's interest!

And that completely ignores that identical contrails are seen from perfectly normally operating jet engines. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that this one is being caused by any sort of engine anomaly.

True! I've seen 737's do the same donuts on a rope contrail..

Greetings I am the guy who took the picture. The lens used was a 1967 Nikon 300mm f/4.2 prime lens it has a 10 degree angle. The subject was about 12 to 1500 hundred feet in length about 2000ft up and 2 miles away. I have several pictures of this. It is a valid Image I have camera info within Photoshop. If you know anything at all about Photoshop you cannot falsify a camera image + if you know what your looking for it is plain to see. it is not a created picture. I've been using this and many other Adobe products since 1992. Just like some answers like many of you. Until I can rub elbows with the folks who do know, the speculation is as wide as the Mississippi. a reply to: Springer
