Russian trade with the US grew 7% despite sanctions

Katyrin also said that over the past year, trade with China increased by 2%, and with the United States - by 7%, which again indicates a low impact of sanctions on the economic and financial processes.

Now you`re probably going to think it`s just Russian propaganda because it comes from Russia, but wait, it has also been coming from the EU themselves...

EU irritated by sanctions: US build trade with Russia

The EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini feels uneasy about the sanctions against Russia: While the EU is losing because of the sanctions, the trade between the US and Russia increases.

Well that`s nice to let the Europeans bleed for it and at the same time make money.

And yet they wonder why anti-EU parties are doing so well in Europe...the Greeks population were the first who have used their brains, I wonder if other countries are going to follow in the future.

I think we should drop the sanctions altogether and let the chips fall where they may.

This whole restarting the Cold War BS needs to stop.

Besides I would like access to Kalashnikov Concern products and Russian ladies.

Just tells how stupid the EU is just following US wishes.

I hope the EU wise up and also don't sign the TTIP deal with the US.

The slave European politicians will get rewarded generously because of it, so they don`t give a rats ass about the ordinary civilians who are getting hurt by it.

I don't see this as a surprise really. Neither the EU or US has sanctioned Russia for goods really, just financially and a few specialty Oil and Gas equipment types. It was Russia that cut off a bunch of imports from the EU and substituted them. Why would anyone be surprised that Russia bought more from the US?

To imply any link between Russian sanctions and anti-EU parties doing well in votes is without any basis in fact. Anti-EU parties have lots of internal EU issues feeding them votes. Russian sanctions only impact a few countries...and those countries are selling their previous exports to Russia elsewhere.

The EU has been hit hard with the counter sanctions because of it. The sanctions have come in place because of the actions of the US in the Ukraine which has led to Russia defending its borders.

It wasn`t the EU who behind the coup in the Ukraine, but yet they pay the price because of it and not the one who was responsible...and there are enough European citizens who are aware of that fact.

It`s not about what you want to think what has happened, it`s about what has actual happened and if there are ordinary citizens in the EU who know that, and because there are enough who are aware, it fuels the already anti-EU sentiment even more, which helps out the anti-EU parties.

And no, because the media has gone silent about the consequences, it`s not that a lot of businesses and jobs haven`t been lost in the EU because of it...we can`t have citizens being aware of it of course.

So either you have really no clue about what a lot of European citizen know, or you just try to plaster over things.
