If my government ever try to force me to use a card, to transact business in electronic form, I will seek their untimely and violent end. No personage or organisation may force me to be at greater risk of having my money taken from me, and I know for certain that if someone tried to take what I have away now, they would have to kill me for it.

they can declare all cash worthless tomorrow and there would be nothing you can do about it. If that is your worry you need to stock up on things the government can not declare worthless such as gold.

If i'm not mistaken, didn't the US government buy back gold from it's citizens during the 70's at a low price, and than re-distribute it at triple the price years later? It was 'illegal' to store gold during that period?

I would imagine 'if' a cashless society was for the purpose of control and not convenience, than they may introduce some sort of law again. Those caught with 'x' amount of gold undeclared may have their gold confiscated.
