few canidates file for Ferguson election despite protests.

Activists who initially sought to oust Ferguson elected leaders and Police Chief Tom Jackson, who also remains on the job, said many residents remain disillusioned with local politics. Others believe the most effective way to push for new laws and policy changes on issues such as police conduct and voting district boundaries is to agitate from outside rather than to negotiate from within, said protest leader Ashley Yates, co-founder of Millennial Activists United.

Does anyone think that anything meaningful will get done? Sooner or later the activists are going to push too hard and end up in jail. The people are not willing to work the system and try to improve things. They simple think that by demanding things will change. All that will change is more hate within society.

more proof that they don`t want change they want anarchy, they want to tear the system down with no plan on what to replace it with.

The big difference that I see between the protests of the 60`s and protests now is that now people don`t know what they are protesting for. even after it was proven that the police officer in ferguson was attacked by the dead guy, people were still protesting, they didn`t know what they were protesting for.
