I am on the side of "she is best just ignored". It is posts like this that keep her in the limelight which is her exact agenda. It is an opinion which she holds and you either agree with it or you don't. If you don't agree ignore and move on.
It has now become more of a witch hunt with her and that is the ONLY reason that so many people have complained. Most satirical comedy t.v. uses her name for a joke and then the general public joins in.

You see far worse written by people most days ...just because this is Katie Hopkins it gets used to hit her again. Ignore her and she will go away. Until then she will continue making her money out of making waves.

Well I say she's an English Arsehole. lets see who is offended by that. you either agree with it or you don't.

She is an Arsehole and she is English, so what's to disagree with?

The difference is that the accusations against scotland are rude and unfounded, what you boyo's do with your livestock is entirely your own concern.

The Scots have been victimised and oppressed in the UK for many years now

I usually have high regard for your posts but the above quote is rubbish in my opinion.
The Scots recently had a vote to leave the union and they chose to stay. How exactly are they oppressed ?

*Edit*
The Barnett formula allows also for over £1000 per year (per head) more paid out in Scotland through public funds compared to England...
How exactly is Scotland oppressed?

It was hardly a landslide victory, as an Englishman I personally feel that the UK should be broken up and allow The Scottish, Welsh and Irish the freedom to run there own nations in a way that benifits there own unique cultures. I appologise if I offended you, the jibe about sheep and boyo's was only to point out that racial slurs were apparently unimportant if close to home.

I didn't care about the 'boyo' line, actually chuckled.
Some Scot's need to get over themselves and chill the # out.
...I ask again, how exactly are the Scots oppressed? You seem to have avoided the question which was in response to your assertion.

Hmm Not sure where to go from here, I have a lot of Scots friends that have issues with the UK, I also have issues with Englands history of dominating other nations for it's own benifit and my nationality.

Couple that with the fact that after a few threads we have both been involved in and my understanding of your superior understanding of world history and I'm starting to have doubts.

Damn someones at the door, I'll be right back.

Hold that thought...

Historically they have been, but then again, historically so has the Irish, Welsh and the English working classes.

Exactly, but nonspecific stated:

The Scots have been victimised and oppressed in the UK for many years now
...that implies past and present tense. It is a ridiculous, and lame statement.

We also assume that the people of England have not also been subject to the same oppresion by the UK goverment for a long time in this statement.

I don't think she expected it to be well received..that is what keeps her in the headlines. By giving her kudos for what is a little "bitchfest" is ridiculous.

...you still haven't explained how 'the Scots have been victimised and oppressed in the UK for many years now', that is a bold statement and I shall be like a dog with a bone about it because I strongly disagree.
Cite examples of oppression and victimisation and I am open to change my opinion, but I struggle to think what examples you could present in present times?

I will have an open bet that she is in that celebrity jungle thing in 3 years time as a has been fourth rate ex celeb.

Someone has to fill a role and right now it is her.

I agree, I've lived and paid taxes in England for over two decades.
Now, do you want to cite examples where the Scots have been victimised and oppressed in the UK for many years now, as you stated earlier, or do you wanna admit that is not really the case?

She always has been a fourth rate celeb. Zlist par excellence but she will never be an "ex" zlister unless people STFU about her and her inane mutterings on twitter.

I am going to admit that right now I do not have the understanding of the situation to have the correct discussion on this although I do think it has merit as a topic.

As we know I am not a Scot or a historian but would really enjoy disscusing this as I "think" I am correct on this.

2015 has to start somewhere and I know there are a few Scots that may be better at answering your question than I am.

So, urm, you are backing away from defending your assertion that the Scots have been victimised and oppressed in the UK for many years now?
That's cool, just so every other ATS member understands your current position.
If one makes wild assertions one can expect to be pulled up on them.
Happy new year

Not at all I am simply being honest.

I stand by my claims and would love to debate it win or loose, I am interested in the truth.

As it stands I do not have the historical or political knowledge to argue the point in a competent manner.

I am also Drunk as a lord on new years day, therefore I was attempting to suggest that we start this as a new thread in the not to distant future and decide this once and for all.

Happy new year to you also Sir.

Haha, fair enough.
But if you make an assertion then the onus of proof is on you, especially if the claim is 'the Scots have been victimised and oppressed in the UK for many years now'
...on topic though, I don't even know who the Twatter personality in the OP is, never heard of her, but if any Scots are whinging that she should be arrested, from what I've read I reckon they need to get over themselves ...and stop the classic whinging.

You'll lose I'm afraid as she already has been in that celebrity jungle thing.

Listen, she has a lot of spiteful things to say, but people love to hate her. She is a troll, but then again she also has a lot of supporters, so watch where she goes. It's more likely that she'll be standing as a prospective parliamentary candidate within the next 6 years, Tory or UKIP possibly.

As i said earlier, I am not offended by the term "Sweaty Sock" as long as it's used in the right context. I have many English friends who have called me a Sweaty, it's all good fun, just the same as i call them a Cockney arse or a Manc ### or a Geordie ######. it's what we do here in the UK, we love to rib each other. But I certainly wouldn't say it to someone i didn't know and if i did i would expect some form of retribution.

Unfortunately for Hopkins public pressure can and does get you charged nowadays. I expect she will be charged...they'll make something up, Hate crime or Racial abuse or something. or She will be given a Caution, which BTW she doesn't have to accept, and then she will make a public apology, probably through Twatter.

One things for sure, she wont ever walk the streets of Glasgow without a escort from Glasgow's finest, but i guess the likes of her would feel unclean up here so she wont visit anyway..Tramp.
