So basically the argument here is if conservatives had been in charge then it would be different?
And were all those areas just fine pre obama? That is my question, poster stated they were in a far worse position then they were pre obama.

No.

The argument is that Democrats controlled these areas and failed. Thats all really. Voting along party lines failed, actually.

If they chose leaders based on accountability and their platforms regardless of their political party or race, things would have been different. Giving a golden ticket to people who throw up certain labels for themselves is a terrible idea.

You really have to look up the history of Detroit. It was an original socialist experiment. The facts are out there but I can find them for you if you like.

Once you understand how the experiment failed you can start blaming this or that party but in reality you won't do anything but play the part of an uninformed voter.

I don't like the way they scripted this to sound so right wing but the truth is out there and they see it. Like I said, I have no answers right now.

The members of Rebel Pundit believe that exposing the true nature of liberalism to the American people is a top mission.

So they're conservatives. I mean, if we just ignore the racial aspect and listen to the talking points, they're just conservatives.

In the 2012 election Obama got 93% of the black vote, that means there's a whole 7% who voted for someone else. Why is this video anymore 'true' than if someone else, of another race, had said it?

I dont think that can be said unilaterally about them. Perhaps they prefer moderates....Not "liberals" or "conservatives". The only thing is, the areas they work in have been exclusively liberal extremes.

Detroit has a fascinating history. I'm not making this up. I'm running out of power on my phone but I invite anyone to look it up.

how is that showing an improvement? Did you think I was arguing that things are better after all this? I dont really think you know what you are even saying anymore. You basically did the leg work FOR my argument...LOL Thanks!

You can deny it all you want. Voting along party lines breeds the worst type of politicians.

Do what ever you want sir. If you like banging your head against the wall then do so freely.

Like voting republican is going to solve black peoples problems.

Well done on establishing that both political parties are corrupt and are not out to serve your interests. What black american's need to do is get involved in politics. Bring your communities together, change parts of your backward's culture (Such as listening to music that glorifies murder, theft and prison)

White working class people have their problems to and embarrassingly, some try and act "Black" because they have no cultural identity anymore.

I suppose the point im trying to make is that

poor people

need to cut the bull #, change their values and get involved in politics. Instead many poor people wait in vain for someone to come along and make things fairer for them.

So they are supposed to get involved in politics and continue to vote Democrat? I think the best way they could send a message to the democratic party is to stop voting for them.

Republicans are more likely to have a libertarian run as a Republican, and a Libertarian would do far more for poor communities than the Democrats would.

Perhaps the best thing we all can do is create a third party or join one.

An established third party whose motto is, don't mess with people's private lives (after all that's how this disaster for the black community happened anyway). Is the Libertarian Party. The Democrat party has been very paternal toward the black community, "we know what is best for you and we will take care of you and all you have to do is trust us and everything will be good."

The libertarian view is basically, government should only protect and handle international affairs.
The rest should be left to the people to decide what is best for them without government interference.
If government interference in people's lives was going to make things better then it would have already, instead a one size fits all meddling in people's lives policies have made matters far far worse.

If you don't like libertarian, start your own party, at least for now in the US you are free to do so. Just be aware that the established 2 parties will try and rip the new party to shreds and discredit all the members in an all out frenzied attack of negativism, exaggeration and bald faced lies, like they did to the Tea Party when it started, which killed it for the original supporters who were not racist or mean or weird.

I mean good stuff on them realising that just voting for black people isn't going to help them... BUT... They don't go far enough! The truth is this... black, white, yellow, red... NO-ONE in power is going to help us! Not a god damn soul! No republican, No democrat, No tea party NO-ONE!!!

They ALL talk a good talk! But they get the power they get the money and they set out on their nice happy little lives and sod everyone else! Rinse repeat!

Everyone needs to vote? HA! Everyone needs to NOT vote! These "leaders" should live on god damn minimum wage and supply their OWN housing and transport to and from work! THEN we MIGHT get some folks interested in politics for the right reasons! But I bet you they'll STILL find some way to be corrupt assholes!

What is the solution? In my mind anarchism BUT we first need to educate those around us about personal responsibilty and about philosophy and morals! We need to grow together! And work as one! Yeah, the solution isn't easy!

Education leads to opportunity. The democrats have convinced people that all education should be delivered from the state and federal government. But education starts at home. That's the road out.

What I find hilarious is all the nuances people outside the US don't see in this thread. They must look at us like we are all insane. All I have to say is research Detroit. And no, a third party isn't the answer either because that only skews the votes to the left. I wish it was as easy as a new party though. I have no answers.

That is such horsecrap. It is people like you that buy the right wing scare tactics of a vote for independent or Libertarian is a vote for Democrat. Do you not understand that THE largest voting block in the country is made up of both left and right leaning Undecided or Unaffiliated? There are TONS of voters that align with Libertarian ideals that end up voting Democrat because of social issues, and they too buy into the scare tactics that a vote for 3rd party is a vote for the opposition, which in their minds means ultra-right wing religious zealots infringing their personal liberties.

The VAST majority of people who vote Democrat are loving Christians that are just like the average Republican, they just have different concerns and issues that are hot buttons and direct who they vote for at local, state and federal levels. This massive divide between right and left doesn't really exist among the average voters, it is simply a creation of MSM (that includes Fox News) and the extremists on both left and right. But like everything else in our society, only the most extreme makes the news.

So rather than insulting and vilifying the moderate left, how about you reach out to them and build on the common ground, compromise and bring them into the fold, then go out elect 3rd party candidates at the local level. Then when your community and neighboring communities sees what Libertarian policies can do for them, they are far more likely to vote Libertarian at the state level, then federal from there. Or you can lament on how the evil, Godless Liberals are actively trying to turn the USA into the North American Communist Cabal.
