We failed ourselves. To think otherwise is projection or ignorance. It's like going to a casino and complaining to the owners you lost money. Well duh.

As opposed to what trickle 'up' economics does ? Which is rob from the rich, and give to the poor so they can go out, and buy more stuff.

You really need to learn some history. While this country was practicing trickle up economics we built the strongest manufacturing base in the world along with the strongest middle class. People were able to afford to send their kids to college without going into debt for 15 to 20 years and people didn't have to work two or three jobs to make ends meet.

Sure enough, but that was because the country did not like the trifecta of Democrats 'Gone Wild' giving us the 'Affordable' shaft Act.

Who came up with the ACA? It wasn't Obama seeing how Romney started it in his state not to mention it was a Republican think tank that thought it up and the Republicans had been trying for years to get passed into law.
Your link is good for a laugh though it's main source is the Heritage Foundation the very same geniuses that gave us the ACA.

Obama is a failure because the only thing he has ever ran was his mouth. I didn't want Hillary for president but she was the lesser of two evils.

Obama scares me now. He failed is failing with ISIS and looks like he is going to fail us with Ebola too..

If you are REALLY afraid of ebola... you just killed all legitimacy of this thread.

Cheers

Im out.

I agree with you but I believe Hillary with Bill at her side and all their connection and knowledge and plain willingness to act would have help our country much more than Obama has. I do not think Romney would have done better and McCain would have started WWIII and ended humanity by now. Our only option really was Hillary.

Not sure about Jeb Bush. If you buy into all the Bush conspiracy stuff none would want to really have another Bush yet Jeb has shown moderation. So I am not against giving him a chance if there are no alternatives. I will likely end up voting Hillary and hoping they will lead unlike Obama.

Obama scares me now. He failed is failing with ISIS and looks like he is going to fail us with Ebola too..

Obama was the affirmative action president, he was not elected on his ability to lead.

Take away political ideologies for a moment and just look at the person.

Obama is a "Celebrity Politician".

He's what the Kardashians or Honey Boo-Boo are reality television.

Obama is the "Sharknado" of politics.

This can be applied for all parties and all ideologies.

Money runs this country. The people with enough money to buy politicians control what happens. It doesn't matter if there's a "D" or an "R" after their name, everyone working in D.C. is bought and paid for.

I believe a real man in the white house, one who is not trying to look good to history, one who really wants things to be better for those who voted for him has the right job to get his azz out there in the pulpit and tell people what they need to do in order to see improvement.

I believe the President of the Untied States can use his position to push people to go vote and to go vote with PURPOSE.

I believe President Obama has now irrevocably failed to lead.

Trickle up? Nah. Don't give it to the government to redistribute. Force companies to pay workers more than they pay investors. Most companies, the established ones don't really need investors anyway these days.

Well, Sears is most likely going out of business if you haven't heard, and HP is splitting because they don't have enough investors, and these are examples of why companies DO need investors. I think the point I am trying to make is NEO is right - if we don't fix our money to begin, we are going to be trying to fix out country by suing each other over unpaid social debts. The bastards have simultaneously destroyed our civil rights, economy, and the world's opinion of us. ALL are praying that we fix our govt, but "hope and change" just didn't cut it.

I was once a Obama supporter and a supporter of the Democrats. The democrats main failure in the last few years was a terrible or lack there of, of a get out the vote campaign in 2010. The republicans did what they always do after suffering loses, they made up a fake grass roots tea party, just like the moral majority, or the christian coalition of the past. Nothing new was brought to the table just a fake new name and cause that was just same ole same ole. They spent the most money in history in that mid term and they were successful in hindering anything else Obama could do for the rest of his term.

Obama won the election in 2008 and should have got rid of Bush's tax cuts, and he should have gotten rid of the many loopholes that allowed the Koch brothers to make $30 billion dollars from 2008-2012 each. These tax cuts and loopholes and then the citizens united decision allowed them to pour $100 of millions of dollars into republicans fake groups to effect our republic, or whats left of it. Tax breaks for corporations should have been based on paying employees livable wages. If he would have done these things in the first 6 months the entire nation would have reaped the benefits by 2010 and the fake grass roots people would not have made the gains they made.

Too little too late now walmart is cutting benefits for part time employees throwing millions more on government benefits for there bottom line.

Trickle down economics/Reaganomics doesn't work but it will take a democrat president and congress to change things back to a level playing field while the middle class and the poor continue to suffer.

They shouldn't have underestimated the 2010 election

Force them to pay more ? Gee after paying for workmans comp, unemployment insurance, and half of the employees social security, and medicare contributions. Make them pay 'more'.

Seeing how many of these companies get tax breaks and some of them pay zero in taxes then yes they can afford to pay their employees more seeing how they keep having record profits year after year.

Might want to check out just how much dividends are on stocks these days. Talk about getting the shaft.

And how much taxes are these people paying on the dividends? Romney said he paid 13 to 14 percent While middle class workers pay almost twice that much. Now who is getting the shaft.

$100 bucks in 1913 has TODAYS VALUE of over $2400.

Yes but you can't buy with that 2400 what you could buy with a hundred back in 1913. But you are right we do need to fix the money. But to do that they wealthy people that you praise so much you have to start paying their fair share.

"I sent money to Ron Paul. He failed."

But he was just ousted by the same system which churned out Obama and continued the erosion of civil rights while simultaneously turning up the heat in the Middle East and with the BRIC countries, along with pretty much alienating most of out allies( at least the ones who CARED about being ethical...) 95 percent of all life on the planet is PRAYING that the gov't of our country is replaced with one that MAKES SENSE. I forgive you for voting Obummer. How bout we make a plan to vote for someone good this November? The point of voting libertarian party is to show which philosophy i would CHOOSE if the voting was FAIR (and people like Ron Paul were allowed into the debates and onto the ballot). I live by my signature - dissent IS the highest form of patriotism.

"In an empire of lies, truth is treason." - Ron Paul.

Alrightie then.

LETS TALK ABOUT TAX BREAKS!!!!!!!

Nearly half of American tax filers will pay no federal income taxes this year, according to data released by the Tax Policy Center.

Some 76 million tax filers, or 46.4 percent of the total, will be exempt from federal income tax in 2011.

www.huffingtonpost.com...

So wasthere a point ?

And how much taxes are these people paying on the dividends? Romney said he paid 13 to 14 percent While middle class workers pay almost twice that much. Now who is getting the shaft.

That depends on how good their accountant are.

And Payroll taxes, and investment income ARE NOT NOR HAVE THEY EVER been comparable.

But then again LETS NOT FORGET unions, and government employee's ALSO have their pensions INVESTED.

That is until they get hit with double taxation like this:

The financial press has been buzzing all year about the new 3.8% Medicare Surtax. This is a provision from the PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) that took effect this year, placing a 3.8% tax on various forms of investment income for individuals, trusts and estates. I’m often asked what’s the big deal with this tax? It’s not all that much, right? 3.8% is a low rate for a 30 year mortgage; it’s less than half of the sales tax rate in Chicago; it’s a tenth of the top marginal income tax rate. Is it really that big of a deal?

www.forbes.com...

So not only is the employer getting hit with the medicare tax.

The employee is getting hit by another medicare tax.

Then anyone who 'invests'.

I just love 'trickle up' in action!!!!!!

But then again that income tax that half of the country isn't paying still doesn't cover the benefits received.

AWESOME!!

But to do that they wealthy people that you praise so much you have to start paying their fair share.

Last time I checked them evil rich pay more income tax.

Since half of the country ISNT paying income tax at all.

I agree...

I looked for a response from the OP.

Seems that few understand this fact even though the writing is all over the wall.

Obama's failure was not an accident.

He wasn't hired by his supporters, he could care less what they think.

The 'gubmint' is nothing more than a façade that the perpetraitors are using to hide behind...

Here's a clue for those who still need one:

"Governments do not govern, but merely control the machinery of government, being themselves controlled by the hidden hand." ~ Benjamin Disraeli; Prime Minister of England

“Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day.”— Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States
