i suggest you give it a look. i dont want to spoil anything that happens. i will say it is a tad slow but its worth it. kevin is one creepy little bastard.

it has tilda swinton and john c reilly...

my wife and i watched and couldnt believe how well the dude who played kevin did.
this is not disturbing in a damien from the omen kind of deal....if i explained it i would ruin it.
trust me on this

I'll check it out. Never heard of it, but I like dark, creepy dramas and Swinton and Reilly as actors.
Don't miss 'Bad Boy Bubby,' or 'Hard Candy.'

I really like both tilda swinton and john c reilly. Strange to see an actor that is generally comedic with someone that seems like a classically trained actress. I could be wrong on both counts thoughm

Quality challenging film without falling back on the horribleness that Martyrs or A Serbian Film used. Note I'm not saying so last two were bad just saying they leave you with a specific feeling..

If you aren't a parent then you could watch Megan Is Missing. If you are a parent good luck getting through that.

OP: Best disturbing movie I've seen are Vase de Noces. It's about a Belgian farmer who falls in love with a huge sow (pig) and she gives birth to their piglet children. Other complications arise.

Eraserhead's a classic. And I can't think of anything else yet

I have watched this, and you're correct about it being a disturbing film. Infact one scene has disturbed me enough to forget about this film until I seen your thread lol.

The scene were he's pleasuring himself and.... well the rest is to sick to discuss.

not really a spoiler for the film but i liked the scene where she changed his diaper and then he walked away and turned around to her and make the stink face and took a big ole # just to be a jerk

Yup, they are all just different flavors of the same end result.

Martyrs, A Serbian Film, Life and Death of a Porno Gang, Megan Is Missing, Inside (sort of cheesy) , August Underground (ugh, my eyes) , Antichrist (William Dafoe junk in a few scenes so now I am scared) , Irreversible (for a few scenes) , Enter The Void, We need to Talk About Kevin.. All of these films leaving you feeling, well..horrible or uncomfortable in some way, each of them is disturbing.

personally i am not a fan of movies like a serbian film. its just not my bag.

movies like we need to talk about kevin though....creepy.
its crazy how a movie can be so disturbing and creepy without crazy violence, sex, and gore.

dont get me wrong.....i like me some violence, sex, and gore in movies when i want something disturbing but a serbian film and others like it are just too much for me

Agreed that it's an intensely disturbing and pretty hard hitting movie on a psychological level. Definitely a very well done film. I second the recommendation despite it being so very rough.

**And yes,, this film doesn't creep and disturb by violence and gore. It's an intense script and intense acting.

Saw this a few years ago, was certainly heavy but it's not even close to being one of the most disturbing films.
Well worth a watch though.

i dont know if i would call them disturbing but netflix has all kinds of good movies in the thriller section.

they are b-movie types that can pretty much go either way but i have been enjoying them...

one off the top of my head is called the perfect host
here are some from the thriller section(dont really mean they are thrillers) that i have enjoyed the past month or so. like i said, nost of these are b rate movies with a b rate script and actors but i have been really enjoying them
