It’s not the size of the mongoose in the fight … Well, you know how the saying goes.

Mongoose vs Lion

To be fair, the Lions look more surprised than defeated, but it is still a fun little video
The mongoose held her own. The article speculates that there may have been young in the den.

A separate video of mongooses (I think this should be mongeese, because it sounds funnier) on the run. A mongoose is singled out and the battling begins.

Wasn't sure what forum to post this in, so feel free to move it where ever appropriate

I'm a small woman and nothing warms my heart like seeing something small win the day.

Am I biased? Damn straight.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog!!

Mongoose vs Cobra I've definitely seen before. The lions were new to me. Apparently, according to the article, they will actually go out of their way to attack pythons as well.

I don’t know how common it is for marsh mongooses, but I have seen banded mongooses attack many animals bigger than themselves, [such as] pythons, baboons, [and] monitor lizards. We are always bemused by the fact that the banded mongooses we study seem to attack pythons much more than is necessary. If they find one sleeping under a bush, they will attack it repeatedly—in fact, this even ended up with one of the banded mongooses being eaten by a python (something I don’t think would have happened if they had left it alone).

Haha! I just watched the Mongoose vs Stork video!

Apparently the storks eat Mongoose babies. Who knew?!

Way to bring it little guy. Balls vs. brawn.
I've seen a raccoon take on a pack of hounds and a cat whip the tar out of a Great Dane.
Size isn't everything in battle.

This video makes me think of all the times I've seen grown men scream and run at the sight of a mouse scurrying nearby or across their path. lol

I don't think those lions were really that hungry.

The mongoose has one of the quickest reactions times in the warm-blooded
animal kingdom.

When you know you're the "fastest gun in the west" it makes it easier to
take on a lion and live to tell the tail...or is that tale
