If CNN says Hong Kong’s in Brazil, it must be so!

Here's a good example of professional geography at work at the highest levels.

CNN put up a map of what looks like South America and with a city named Hong Kong.

Brilliance knows no bounds.

Hey kids, don’t get your geography lessons from CNN!

Cable network in yet another ridiculous on-air flub

Apparently, a bad geographical week for the whiz-kids at CNN:

King Kong is in Brazil, not Hong Kong. He was sent there after his ordeal at the empire state building. Just a typo.

Oh that is just priceless.

Whats bad about this sort of mistake, is that a lot of american's geography is pretty bad too and probably many didnt even notice/know.

Not surprising. Did you know 20% of Americans can't locate the United States on a world map? It is explained succinctly here by Miss Teen South Carolina.

How in the heck... but no wonder it's CNN! They don't know where Nigeria is anyway! Someone's not checking over work before it airs? Really? Subliminal imaging with the intent of dumbing down? Wonder how many other mistakes go unnoticed through them but people follow it as real news.

The saying " better to remain quiet and have everyone think your a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt"
Comes to mind

God lord! How do I apply for a job fact-checking and proofing at CNN? I'd get fired if I let something like that through where I'm at now, and I bet that CNN would pay a whole lot better than my current position ... it'd be full-time, too.

No surprise there, I have watched enough MSM to know for 100% certainty that 94% (yes, I did the math) wouldn't be able to tell their head from their ass if it wasn't for the cameras pointing to it. They read prompters and then scream at the interns when they look stupid.

Oh, nothing has improved. Just turn a critical eye on every major network's and website's news. You'll find an embarrassing amount on errors.
