Lately I have been talking with a girl who has shown me not only whats important in life, but who has managed to pick me up from a really low place and allow me to be happy.

I started writing her poems or little rhymes, and she really seems to enjoy them. SOOOOOO....

I thought I would post one here, so that whomever wants too can brighten their loved ones day.

As you walk away, and out of the door,
There is something I just can not ignore.

I sit here and I stare at the floor,
Thinking about how much of you I adore

The first of which is of course your smile,
And the way it lifts my heart a mile.

Then there is your sense of charm,
That makes me want to keep you from harm.

You know what's important, and all the while,
manage to maintain a great sense of style.

You are quirky, and funny, and lovely too,
Of my reasons for liking you, these are only a few.

So I want to thank you for all that you do,
And the way you keep me from being blue.

feel free to replace the word liking for loving at your discretion.

Enjoy!

Thats actually pretty good.

I wish I had something nice to offer.

All I got is this weak attempt at "comedy":

Rose are red.
Violets are blue.
I told her to come sit on my lap.
She said, "f you".

Thanks :-)

I don't know if it is the way she has been making me feel that is giving me the inspiration, or if its just a talent I have that I never knew about, but I've been writing them for weeks now... at least one every couple days.

I just figured I would share it with the community here, and allow someone else to find enjoyment out of it too. :-)

Very good.
I heard one the other day...
Let's play like fast food, you be mc donalds and I'll be burger king.
I'll have it my way, and you'll be loving it.

People always accredit outside sources for random spurts of talent, but a catalyst or key can't unlock what isn't there. Good poem, and good luck with your situation.

Well...
Glad you found a piece of happiness.

I for one did not give out poems...when I found her.
Nope..a college educated guy was met with....

A DICTIONARY..
For once I was met by a lady.. who spouted words that I must admit....forced me to carry a dictionary...hard back! Not an iPhone!...
I thank her...I'm better for it!

Edit...love will not let you just simply settle...nope it inspires you for better things!

Roses come in many colors.
Violets aren't blue...they're violet...duh.
This poem doesn't rhyme at all.
Let's just get naked and see what happens.

You, my friend, are a descendant of Shakespeare. Hopefully that one withstands the test of time and is spared long enough for the ET's to visit and stumble upon it.

This does indeed bring a smile to the face.

However, no one living in the present, can truly know the future. So what I will say here, is that you have a neat turn of phrase, and I like your poem! Keep it up!

Still... It does not hurt to have a muse!
