Adventure Time.
It may be a cartoon and silly at times, but it's deep if watched from the beginning.

Fringe was great.

American Horror Story is about in the same vein. Season two is a little convoluted, but one and three had me hooked.

Some UK shows worth watching are the Sherlock series and Misfits. Someone else mentioned Rome and I would recommend this as well. The Titus/Lucious relationship is one of the best .

I was just given the Sherlocks on dvd. First series was...ok, but the second series was fantastic! A scandal in Belgravia was my favourite, a MUST watch

An underrated series to check out was put out by Showtime called Total Recall 2070. It is kind of like a mix of Total Recall and Blade Runner meets the X-files. The acting is kind of bland but the setting and stories are pretty good and the whole thing has some nice atmosphere. Very PKD. Used to be available on netflix and I have seen the whole series listed on YouTube as well.

You could try a spy comedy called "Chuck". I was hooked by the second episode.

Hey Intrepid. We have similar taste in shows. Most of what you have listed are some of my all time favorite shows.

I would suggest checking out
- Orphan Black (just wrapped up the second season, so there are plenty of episodes to get caught up on)
- Game of Thrones - Words can not describe how amazing this show is.
- Falling Skies - Think "Walking Dead", but with aliens
- Continuum - Time travel, great story, meh acting at points, but if you survived Angel, this is nothing.
- American Horror Story - Each season is a different story, so you can pick one and run with it.
- Sanctuary - Can't really describe this one, just gotta watch a few episodes to see what it's about

I might also suggest taking a look at Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Both are kinda cheesy in the vein of Buffy and Angel, but after the first season of Vampire Diaries its actually pretty good. Think Supernatural meets Twilight... Ok, maybe that's not the best way to shine a positive light on it, but the show is better than the name "Vampire Diaries" would suggest.

Agreed! Banshee is fantastic it has me totally gripped at the moment. Only 3 more episodes to watch and just in time for the new series starting next week in the UK woohoo!

The more I watch it the more I think I keep recognising the main lead Anthony Starr (aka Lucas Hood in the series) but alas I do not. He just has one of them faces I guess. The acting is fantastic and some of the scenes had me almost grimacing as it is a very violent series and I have a cast iron stomach!

I heard Lost was pretty good.

Not many have heard of it, as it wasnt really mainstream.

Breaking Bad, it goes without saying, just brilliant.
S.O.A, it dose get better and it grew on me.
Orphan Black, very good.
Weeds, only just stumbled across this, it's very funny I love it.
Star Trek Deep Space Nine, as far as I'm concerned it's the best trek out of the whole franchise, especially the Dominion war.
Orange Is The New Black, was impressed with the first season.

I really don't do TV unless it's the NFL.

Isn't that Canadian blasphemy? Shouldn't your 'short list' have the NHL ??

Shows I like that you can 'on demand' ...

American Horror Story
Doctor Who
The OLD 2 1/2 men (with Charlie Sheen)
Big Bang THeory
Summer series ... Under the Dome
South Park
Game of Thrones ... (LOTS of nudity .. I'm a prude so I fast forward that)
I watch the History Channel a lot.

ETA ..... oh .... and of course Walking Dead. There is a marathon coming up in the next few weeks ...

No Game of Thrones or Walking Dead? I'd also second the suggestion of Archer.

Hmm... that's about all I can think of that you haven't watched.

The British version of Life On Mars (Netflix has the whole series)
Person Of Interest

The rest of my favorites have been mentioned, but another vote for Orphan Black & Continuum

You should really check out "Game of Thrones" and "American Horror Story" if you can. Game of Thrones is continuous through I believe season 4 now and is still going. American Horror Story changes each season to a different story and plot but keeps many of the same actors but playing different roles.

Oh yah, House of Cards is good too!!

Yes to Battlestar Galactica...the newer version. Also very much yes to Breaking Bad! Also check out Longmire. It's a really good show. And it has Katie Sackhoff (who is also Starbuck in the Battlestar Galactica series...)
