So apparently this is how cars are being towed in Manila - 3 at a time

Ok, so this just popped up on the news in the Philippines (and I'm so glad I moved away from Manila). I wanted to see the video because it's rare that cars ever get towed there. The normal practice is to take off your front license plate which makes you go to the office to pay a fine or whatever to get it back.

Now it seems towing is started to happen, which is great! So I watched the video and laughed a lot

Maybe it's just me, what do yall think?

I have to ask.

Does the bloke driving the tow truck get paid for all 3 or just one call out??

I have no idea, but knowing the way things work, probably all 3 - each at the same price to cut costs. I just wonder how they managed to tow it back, though I'm sure it worked out over some time

This is entirely possible, and what I think as well. In Manila it's a city of people who do what they're told for the most part, almost like its own caste system. I wouldn't be surprised that paid private vehicle drivers and taxi drivers are parked there sleeping on the side of the road waiting for whatever.

In the video they talk about having complaints from them parking there and congesting traffic. It looks like a nice part of town so there was a reaction by the government. In poor parts of Manila (it's a 17 city conglomerate) nothing ever happens.

As parity of society around the world continues, maybe everyone will experience hardships to "3rd world" degrees

If those are automatic transmissions, I hope the owners had time to say goodbye to them. If they are manual, well, ouch.

That vid is kinda sad, but I suppose it's safer than stacking them 3 high and having them fall over.

How are they towing these cars without unlocking the steering wheel?

Guessing that they are picking the steering wheel locks somehow...

There has to be a driver in each car to steer them and hit the brakes at each stop.
