BuzzFeed News is shutting down as company cuts 15% of staff

Buzzfeed's owners are pulling the plug. Nothing yet posted on their website.

Is that everything or just their so-called "news"?

I suppose it could be said that Buzzfeed served its purpose and no one wants to 'invest' money to keep it running. I feel for the staff who might be left with 'settling' for new jobs which they wouldn't have wanted in the first place.

They followed the Huffington Post model of on-line news which I suppose means that "model" isn't "working" (not making money) anymore.

That world of 'designated' purveyors of "news" is full of intrigue and non-news politics now.

One less 'news' source means more homogenized news...

Isn't that nice? News without contrast, news without anything "new."

Meh, I feel for the staff that has to look for new jobs, but Huffington Post and Buzzfeed is just propaganda. It's left side Daily Wire or Gateway Pundit.

Not a loss for USA.

It is to be expected.

Before they were left of left... the extreme.

Well, CNN, MSDNC, CBS, ABC, NBC have all joined them so there is nothing special or extreme about them any longer. Who needs Buzzfeed when all the major networks are the same?
